"My husband and I had a wonderful 1 week stay in this condo. The owners and local on-island agent were all very attentive and truly interested in making us feel welcome. There is no air conditioning in the unit but keeping the doors open allow for the trade winds to blow through nicely. The furnishings in the unit are beautiful yet comfortable, especially the bed! One feature we really appreciated was the keypad entry for the door. It was so great not to have to carry keys or a key card around. It has all the comforts you would expect from home and no need to worry about buying/bringing things like paper products, ziplock bags, cling wrap, spices, condiments etc. We especially appreciated using the beach chairs and different sizes of coolers for our adventures. There were 2 sets of snorkel gear there as well but we had brought our own. Tennis rackets and a set of golf clubs are also available for use. The owners invite you to use anything you find in their condo which we felt a little uneasy about at first, but really shows that they are extending their Aloha and want your stay to be relaxing and worry-free! The location in south Kihei is directly across from the beach Kamaole 2. The unit is in building C, quite close to the entrance of the resort (and the pool/BBQ area), so getting to the beach is easy and takes less than 5 minutes. Many shops and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. My husband and I both agree that this stay on Maui was our best vacation ever and feel that being in this condo had a lot to do with it. We would absolutely stay here again!"Guest: LaFawn M. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 18, 2014View listing
"This condo is very clean and has all of the essentials + more anyone would expect. Fully equipped kitchen, plenty of linens and lots of extras, like Boogie Boards, DVDs, Books, Cookbooks, etc. The location is awesome - walking distance to Charley Young Beach, as well as shopping centers. A must is breakfast at Kihea Cafe -- bring cash, as no credit cards are accepted, but much worth it! Walks and sunsets on the beach were my favorite!"Guest: Frances Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: August 21, 2014View listing
"My wife and I recently stayed at this property for 5 days for a small vacay while attending a close friend's wedding. Below are brief notes about the property that may be useful if you're considering staying here; - The best thing about the condo was it's location. It's was close to grocery markets, eateries, coffee shops, gyms, gas stations, dry cleaners, etc; all within a mile of the property. - The support staff for the condo were friendly and very responsive (from booking to registration office). Information for check-in/out procedures were well detailed. I received a friendly follow up call from the property mgmt office on my check out day, which was nice. - I'm a stickler for cleanliness, which I would rate the unit as a good 9 out of 10. My only suggestion to the owner/mgmt office would be to clean the ceiling fan (and surrounding ceiling area) in the bedroom as it was awfully dusty and may pose an issue for those with sensitive allergy issues. - On Privacy, the unit is on the second floor with the balcony facing the garden/front parking lot. The condo as a whole was nice and quiet with good neighbors. The only drawback were some of the blinds that cover the sliding door were missing, leaving an opening for outsiders to see in during the evening. Some may feel uncomfortable with this. The property mgmt office advised they were aware of this and will be working to replace the missing blinds. - Accessibility to the condo is good. There is a facility elevator available and staircase by the rear-side. - The bed was awesomely comfortable. If I could pack the queen size pillow-top mattress in my luggage, I would have! :) - Lots of extras for the beach-goers; chairs, paddle boards, snorkel gear, towels, etc. all neatly secured in a closet - It was pretty warm in Maui the week we visited, so we used the condo's A/C during our stay. There are 2 A/C units; 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom and both worked well. Just a friendly note that the unit in the bedroom is a standing portable A/C unit. The drawback on this unit is that it's next to the bed by the window and was a bit loud when turned on. Unfortunately, we couldn't relocate it further away from the bed area due to the exhaust hose that was latched to the base of the window. To close, I would definitely stay here again. The staff were great and responsive, the condo's location was prime, it was clean, and safe for travelers. Thank you the great stay Maui Vista!"Guest: J S. "We have never used VRBO before and we were extremely pleased with this property. Jay and Judy were great to deal with. The property is exactly as described, an immaculate updated 2 bedroom condo with ample room for the 4 people. The interior was clean, with new appliances, an extremely well stocked pantry and an abundance of beach necessities. The property has a beautiful view of Kamaole II beach and Molokini can be seen clearly off in the distance. We spent many evenings socializing on the Lanai watching the sunset and looking out at the waves. The 2 pools and barbecues are kept very clean. Kihei Akahi is situated directly across from Kameole II and a short walk to Kameole III which are very kid friendly beaches with calm waves. No air conditioning, but no need as all the windows open up which allow the trade winds to blow through the condo cooling it off nicely.I would not hesitate at all in recommending this property to my friends and family."Guest: Mike Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: September 3, 2014View listing
