Simply, a Gem.
"In my past visits to the Island Of Maui I had walked past Cove Park Inn with curiosity. While making plans for my latest Island trip I looked into the property and liked what I saw and the positive response I got from Ralph, who answered all of my questions online and in person.
I truly recommend Maui Cove Park Inn to those that would like to stay very close to the beach while staying away from the big box resorts. While there be sure to visit Charlie Young Beach."

"This was our second time at the Kihei Akahi property, but in a different condo. This one in the C building on the ground floor was a little noisier and during some of the hottest days, rather warmer in the bedroom than the one in the D building where we were before. Still, the condo offered a lot for the price. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a ton of beach equipment. I particularly appreciated the very good umbrella and the backpack beach chairs. The owner was responsive and his condo info was very helpful.
We will keep returning to Kihei. We love all the nearby beaches. My favorite activity is walking from the Akahi down to Kam II and then heading south and walking along all the beaches to Wailea and beyond. We also love how easy it is to find so many restaurants within walking distance. However, we were really glad we had a car so we could drive to N. Kihei for the best shave ice ever - Ululani's and to Pizza Madness for the best pizza. Even more important, a car allowed us to drive up to Haleakala as well as to Waihe'e Ridge for hikes. We even took Hwy 340 around the north side of West Maui (completing the whole loop back to Kihei via Kaanapali). That stretch of 340 is rather exciting and you must go slow, but it is truly beautiful and there are several places to buy homemade banana bread."

"We spent the second half our recent Maui trip (October 2015) at the Royal Mauian and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The location was amazing, steps away from the beach, walking distance to yummy restaurants and great natural food store and some cute shops. Courtney couldn't have been more helpful before our trip and during out trip. As a family of 4, this condo was perfect. The kitchen had everything we need. It also had everything needed for the beach. Great chairs, boogie boards, and lots of beach towels. We will definitely return. Regarding the property, it was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. BBQ's on the roof with an amazing view, a great pool, also with an amazing view and even a Library. Unfortunately there was a decent swell while we were there making snorkeling visibility very poor, but we look forward to snorkeling next trip."
