"I was searching quite a bit for a vacation rental in Maui for our Summer trip. We are a family of 4 - consisting of myself, my husband, and my 14 and 11 year old boys. At first, I was looking for a 2 bedroom rental, but the cost was too high, so I started looking for a 1 bedroom. I was so glad to find this unit! My kids do not like to share a bed, so having the murphy bed and the pull out couch was perfect. There is a/c and a ceiling fan in the living room and the bedroom has a ceiling fan only. We didn't mind it at all, the nights are fairly cool in Maui, but you have the option to sleep in the living room with the a/c if its gets too hot. Both the murphy bed and pull out couch can sleep 2 each. Maui Vista is a very well managed property and security is tight. There are 3 buildings and each building has a pool, bbq, and tennis courts. The unit itself is steps away from the pool - from the back lanai and at the front door, you go out and the bbq is right there. Love the fact that it was on the first floor and you can lock the back sliding door. The property is very quiet, but keep in mind we went in late August, a slower season. This unit has everything you need - the washer/dryer is perfect, there is a stove, all the utensils and plates you need, there are condiments as well - so make sure you check out the unit first before you buy stuff at the grocery store. Maui Vista is directly across the street from Charley Young beach and the unit has everything you need to bring to the beach including beach toys, chairs, towels and boogie boards. So it was super easy to just grab everything and walk over across the street everyday. Maui Vista is also very central to all the amenities - especially the shaved ice stand! :) There's an ABC store (like a 7-11 corner store) close by, there's a Foodland grocery store that has everything. You don't really need a car in Maui, but it's helpful. Laurie, the owner, was super friendly and very easy to communicate with! Lightning fast replies via email and on the phone. We really loved this unit and we would recommend it to anyone. The only suggestion I have is to perhaps get some smaller plates for the unit."Guest: Zinnia J. "I frequently use VRBO when I make travel plans. I too rely on reviews when making my choice(s). Renting the unit owned by Dave and Dixie was truly an outstanding experience. Having stayed at the Maui Banyan complex on at least five (5) prior occasions, I can tell you that their property is modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean. During this trip, I rented a second unit, not owned by Dave and Dixie, for my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. That unit was nice, but did not have the "first class" feel that Dave and Dixie's unit had. Finally, the interaction with Dave was outstanding. He was responsive, attentive, and informative."Guest: Paul and Donna Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 28, 2014View listing
"We are keen windsurfers from New Zealand and return to Maui every year. We have just spent a fabulous three weeks at Maui Vista Condo 3112. This is our 4th year staying at Chris and Ron's lovely Condo. It is in the quiet building with a beautiful outlook to the pool and the sea beyond and the tennis courts close by. The Condo is luxuriously appointed and we felt so at home the moment we arrived. The Condo was spotless when we arrived and was easy to maintain during our stay. Cant wait till next year. Thankyou Ron and Chris!"Guest: Tony Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 26, 2014View listing
"We usually travel via Timeshare ownership but had nothing available to match up with a following week we had already scheduled so I decided to go through VRBO. No doubt I chose this rental due to it being the lowest price. Little did I know it would be everything I could ask for. Very clean, incredibly equipped, short walk to one of the best beaches, walking distance to many restaurants (Fred's burritos are HUGE and Da Kitchen has great mixed plates) and shops and the unit itself is stocked with all the beach equipment you'll need plus movies and books. We have rented from private condo owners before and the quality was like night and day. Thank you Jeff and Madir for anticipating and providing so many things that a traveler would want. AND for mailing me the shirt I forgot. :)"Guest: Janette Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 3, 2013View listing
