"Having now stayed in 3 VRBO condos in Hawaii, my wife and I were very pleased with this condo. I think it's very suitable for a couple or a small family on a middle-class budget. The rental company is professional and sends you all the info you need in a single email that is easily printed. The condo is walking distance to shops, a grocery store, and restaurants in Kihei and right across from the beach. Although the condo is on a busy street, it is "set back" enough that you don't hear traffic too much. It even has a porch with a view of the sunset. My only complaint is that the air conditioner is on the opposite side of the condo from the bedroom so my wife got hot while sleeping during the warmer days. But at least it has AC, right? The appliances are older but function. If you want fancy accommodations there are newer hotels and condos but of course you will pay more. This was very reasonable and we would try to stay here again if we come back to Kihei again. Mahalo!"Guest: SG Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: February 27, 2014View listing
"THANK YOU to owners Kathy & Vic for sharing their amazing 'home away from home'. We wanted for nothing, as the unit is so well equipped, stocked & organized. Yes, what we experienced surpassed the VRBO pics & description. Additionally, Ppty Mgrs Todd & Cheryl were professional, warm & helpful, they do a fabulous job maintaining the ppty & amenities. Owner Kathy was prompt, helpful and responsive to all communications. We would highly recommend the property for being quiet & convenient. What we enjoyed: @ Kamaole Beaches I, II & II walks, families playing in the surf, relaxing in shade of the trees in the park by the Kam I, paddleboarding (early), FOOD: Maui Flatbread Co for great pizza & fun ambiance @ Paia, a run to Costco for loading up on month's worth of drygoods/groc, Hawaiian Moon Health Food Grocer 1 blk away, Wed/Sat Farmers Market (5 min bus ride), wonderful juice bar by beach walkway near Wailea, Longhi's Bar for lunch, within walking distance ... Fred's for fun/relaxed cocktail hour with many photoshop pics to amuse, 808 Restaurant for breakfast, TRANSPORT: Kihei Car Rental, Kihei Taxi (Mark), convenient public transit stops. FUN: whale watching @ it's prime (daily playful displays), World Whale Day Parade & Festival @ Kalama Park (with many vendor/artisan booths & music)! Had some quiet days reading by the pool and the BBQ's were immaculate. WHAT A FABULOUS VACATION!!"Guest: Janet & Tom Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: March 6, 2014View listing
"I was already on vacation staying with a relative and really wanted my own place. I started looking for rentals and everything was booked. I found this condo and was able to book it starting the next day. I wasn't expecting great accommodations because it was one of the very few available and the price was extremely low. I was surprised to find on my arrival how lovely the room was. It has a nice view of the beach across the street. The furnishings are nice and comfortable. Overall this turned what started out as being a mediocre vacation into a very nice one."Guest: Tammi Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 8, 2014View listing
"My husband and I finished a two week honeymoon in Hawaii staying in this condo. It was a perfect, relaxing way to end a very busy trip! The condo is in a great location in Kihei, close enough to the beach to get there quickly but not in a location where a lot of foot traffic is a distraction. It was an easy location from which to explore the rest of the island as we did day trips around the east side and the west side. Many restaurants, shops, a farmer's market, grocery stores, and more were nearby. We cooked most of our own meals and found everything we needed in the condo from pots and pans, to specialty utensils, to spices. It was also great to have access to a small cooler for the day trips. Our stay on Maui included the passing of tropical storm Iselle which we barely noticed as this part of the island is very protected from the elements. The surf on the beach was calm all the time here, which we very much appreciated after spending some time on the east side of the Big Island. Matthew was great with making booking and arrival easy and answering any questions we had. We can't recommend this condo highly enough! Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us!"Guest: Bonnie Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 17, 2014View listing
