"I was searching quite a bit for a vacation rental in Maui for our Summer trip. We are a family of 4 - consisting of myself, my husband, and my 14 and 11 year old boys. At first, I was looking for a 2 bedroom rental, but the cost was too high, so I started looking for a 1 bedroom. I was so glad to find this unit! My kids do not like to share a bed, so having the murphy bed and the pull out couch was perfect. There is a/c and a ceiling fan in the living room and the bedroom has a ceiling fan only. We didn't mind it at all, the nights are fairly cool in Maui, but you have the option to sleep in the living room with the a/c if its gets too hot. Both the murphy bed and pull out couch can sleep 2 each. Maui Vista is a very well managed property and security is tight. There are 3 buildings and each building has a pool, bbq, and tennis courts. The unit itself is steps away from the pool - from the back lanai and at the front door, you go out and the bbq is right there. Love the fact that it was on the first floor and you can lock the back sliding door. The property is very quiet, but keep in mind we went in late August, a slower season. This unit has everything you need - the washer/dryer is perfect, there is a stove, all the utensils and plates you need, there are condiments as well - so make sure you check out the unit first before you buy stuff at the grocery store. Maui Vista is directly across the street from Charley Young beach and the unit has everything you need to bring to the beach including beach toys, chairs, towels and boogie boards. So it was super easy to just grab everything and walk over across the street everyday. Maui Vista is also very central to all the amenities - especially the shaved ice stand! :) There's an ABC store (like a 7-11 corner store) close by, there's a Foodland grocery store that has everything. You don't really need a car in Maui, but it's helpful. Laurie, the owner, was super friendly and very easy to communicate with! Lightning fast replies via email and on the phone. We really loved this unit and we would recommend it to anyone. The only suggestion I have is to perhaps get some smaller plates for the unit."Guest: Zinnia J. "My boyfriend & I stayed at this condo for 10 days in July & it was absolutely perfect! This place is centrally located, across the street from the beach, stocked with everything you need (beach towels & chairs, snorkelling gear, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, computer, printer, netflix, etc. etc. etc.) - literally the works! The complex is quiet & well maintained, the lanai opens up to a very private green space where you can see the ocean just beyond. From the minute you walk in you can tell this condo is loved & well cared for, it's incredibly clean, very organized & just feels like home (if home was in a tropical paradise). I could go on & on - I've been recommending this place to my family & friends and I would definitely stay here again. Our experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Communications were prompt. After we booked we received an information package that was meticulously compiled, contained detailed directions, instructions, recommendations... Everything was just so helpful. Thank you Mike for allowing us to rent your beautiful condo!"Guest: . Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 29, 2014View listing
"Just want to echo the other positive reviews: great location, great little resort, quiet, well-kept and homey. The condo itself was very well equipped, loved the kitchen, more room than we expected. Air conditioning and dishwasher were real pluses!"Guest: jo-anne l. Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: February 12, 2014View listing
