"It doesn't get any better than this. The unit shares a hot tub and pool with only 3 other units, so we had the pool to ourselves the whole time. The pool is one of the better pools I've seen because the bottom is completely tiled - no raw feet after a week of pool time. The unit had a box of shared snorkel equipment, and boogie boards so that saved us some rentals (lots of masks). Note - the pool has a vacuum gizmo that must be avoided while swimming but it keeps the pool clean. (It's about 7 ft deep in the deep end.) The unit has water views nearly everywhere. The kids slept downstairs in the double-queen room which is below ground so it stayed dark and upstairs noise didn't bother them. The beach is just through the gate and to the left. Snorkel early (8am) out front and you'll most likely see lots of sea turtles, but do it early. This region of the island gets windy from 11am to 5pm so that reduces snorkeling visibility (and bigger waves). The grassy area out side the gate is a public park but doesn't have much traffic. It was nice to have a parking area behind a private gate (the other car parked on the street). Everything is very well maintained. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking equipment and spices. The rental company (Rentals Maui) even has it's own app that has useful info!!!"Guest: Brian G. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 12, 2014View listing

"While our stay was very nice and this is condo is in a very ideal location, I did have issue's with the amount of noise from the road construction, late night party people from the bar across the street and the early morning bird that was very loud. The condo was mostly clean, but we did note that the floors were very dirty along with the floor out on the veranda. According to recent reviews the trade winds should have kept the place cool. What trade winds? it was extremely hot and the ceiling fans did not go up to highest setting. A simple portable A/C unit would have made our stay during the evening hours much more enjoyable. I really could not believe that the owner does not have one on hand. We did appreciate the location, close to every thing we wanted to do. The beach was very beautiful but the supplied snorkel gear is in very poor condition. Out of the 3 mask's one did not leak. Three sets of fins, the 2 adult fins were could not be used and the 3rd set was for a child. Plan on renting your own set. Finally we were invaded by small ants. Mostly just irritating, but nonetheless we really did not enjoy seeing them. Overall this is a very decent place to stay due to the location and price, but I would encourage the owners to do some simple upgrades such as A/C, new mattress's and ensure the floors are cleaned on a regular basis and this would then be a five stare location."Guest: Millertime Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 26, 2014View listing
"We had a Family group of 10 staying in three different units in the Maui Banyan. All three were two bedroom units but this unit (F206) was superior to the other two. It had the most up to date appliances, furnishings, tile (not carpet), comfortable beds and was well maintained. Being on the second floor was also an advantage as there were no critters. The two first floor units both had the potential with this but for us on the second floor it was not a concern. We were concerned about there being noise because of the proximity to the main Kihei road and the entrance to the Maui Banyan. However this was not an issue and with the doors closed and outside sounds are largely muted. The F complex is close to the beach. As was noted by someone previously….the owner was terrific in all our dealings - from quick responses to emails, booking our condo, phone call returns and answering questions. We would highly recommend this condo."Guest: Very Satisfied visitor Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 1, 2014View listing
