"We really enjoyed our stay at the Maui Banyan. We rented a 2 bedroom condo which gave us plenty of room for our family. The location of this unit was excellent, close to the pool, the BBQ, parking and of course very close to Kamaole Beach II. There were many shops within walking distance, and we were pleased at just how central the location was. The unit was spacious enough for our family of four. We were pleased with the bedroom arrangement with two double beds in the second bedroom, which allowed our kids to have their own bed. The kitchen had enough pots and pans for our needs, as well as beach towels, chairs and an umbrella. The caretakers were very responsive to fixing a broken umbrella as well as replacing some burnt out bulbs in the kitchen. Although the unit has not been renovated recently, it was clean and suited our needs just fine. We would stay in this unit again, and would recommend it to others."Guest: Susan D. "It was a pleasure dealing with the owner, Jennifer directly. All questions were cheerfully answered. Upon arrival, we noticed all the little 'extras' indicating that the owners actually use this condo themselves. It is NOT just a rental unit with bare essentials. The unit was clean & well equipped. Wi-Fi was included. Keyless entry meant no keys to lose at the beach. There were lots of good chairs to take to the beach, plus coolers, toys & towels. The location of this unit in the 3rd building is ideal. Park at the back of the parking lot. You will walk by the hose to wash the sand off your feet before using the stairs for quick access to the unit. Also quick when you forget your sunglasses! Maui Vista is a perfect location for active guests: 1. It only takes a few minutes to walk to ABC Store for misc items. 2. It's a quick drive to ABC to fill up with gas then easy access to Hwy #31. 3. Approx 20 minute walk to Foodland for groceries. Then walk a few more blocks north to the Aloha Open Market for local produce. You can make these stops each morning when you go for a walk at 7AM. 4. Within easy walking distance to great restaurants. No designated driver required! We highly recommend this unit. We will certainly be back. And did I mention that the rates were reasonable?"Guest: Luv2Snorkel Date of Stay: February 2013 Review Submitted: March 25, 2013View listing
"We have been to Maui 5 times, and have stayed in a total of 6 different properties on Maui. Kam One #5 is by far our favorite. It is clean, comfortable, well-furnished, well-equipped and well-maintained. The renovations done to the unit are first rate, including top of the line appliances (better than home). The location, right on Charley Young Beach (north end of Kam One), can't be beat. South Kihei is a great area to stay in - convenient to the airport, Hana Highway, great beaches, good restaurants and shopping. It isn't too far from Lahaina (in West Maui) - a 40-minute drive. Two very minor negatives, neither one of which would prevent us from returning: (1) The central air conditioner is loud, and (2)The unit looks slightly bigger on photos than it is in person. However, it fits four people very comfortably. Considering the rental rates on Maui and throughout Hawaii, especially for beachfront property, Kam One #5 is a great bargain. We had a great time, and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else on Maui. We wish that we had discovered this property sooner."Guest: Lara and Norm Date of Stay: July 2013 Review Submitted: August 1, 2013View listing
"My husband and I stayed at this condo over Thanksgiving. (unit 107) We had a great time and enjoyed all the conveniences of staying at this condo over a hotel. You feel like you are at home! The bathrooms are all renovated and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is a little out dated, but is fully stocked with all kinds of cooking items and serves its purpose. We loved the patio and being on the ground floor where you can walk right out to the pool, BBQ grills, or the beach. The location in Kihei is with in walking distance to several stores and restaurants. We definitely recommend this place for someone who doesn't want to stay at an over crowded, over priced hotel. A plus for us was that it was 2 minutes drive to the Kihei boat dock where we met for diving everyday at 6am! Enjoyed our stay and the accommodations!"Guest: Brenda E.
