Very Very Nice
"Wow, thanks so much Heather and Scott. What a great condo. The location was excellent and the condo so well stocked. We had dinner on the lanai most nights and it was just a dream. The unit is very quiet as we are early risers, we never had a problem with noise. Thanks again Heather and Scott."

"The condo was in a good location and had what we needed for the stay. The condo was mostly as expected based on the description and previous reviews. The reason for 4 stars was that there is no air conditioning, which we knew when we booked, however we happened to be there during unusually hot and humid weather with minimal tradewinds, which made for some hot and sticky nights. Also the sleeper sofa is just a basic sleeper sofa and really isn't comfortable for adults for several nights (my husband and I slept on it for 4 nights with our traveling companion in the bedroom). So if you have enough adults to need 2 beds, you may want to look at other options. The beach across the street is a really great beach - only a two minute walk with a shower and a foot wash right there. It was really convenient to run down to the beach to take a quick dip in the ocean after a full day sightseeing."

"This was our second time at the Kihei Akahi property, but in a different condo. This one in the C building on the ground floor was a little noisier and during some of the hottest days, rather warmer in the bedroom than the one in the D building where we were before. Still, the condo offered a lot for the price. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a ton of beach equipment. I particularly appreciated the very good umbrella and the backpack beach chairs. The owner was responsive and his condo info was very helpful.
We will keep returning to Kihei. We love all the nearby beaches. My favorite activity is walking from the Akahi down to Kam II and then heading south and walking along all the beaches to Wailea and beyond. We also love how easy it is to find so many restaurants within walking distance. However, we were really glad we had a car so we could drive to N. Kihei for the best shave ice ever - Ululani's and to Pizza Madness for the best pizza. Even more important, a car allowed us to drive up to Haleakala as well as to Waihe'e Ridge for hikes. We even took Hwy 340 around the north side of West Maui (completing the whole loop back to Kihei via Kaanapali). That stretch of 340 is rather exciting and you must go slow, but it is truly beautiful and there are several places to buy homemade banana bread."

"My husband and I loved our stay here. We have stayed at at least 4 other places at Kihei Alii Kai and this is our favorite. It had a gorgeous view of the ocean from our lanai that we spent many a morning and evening, watching the island wake up and and slip into night. The location is perfect with only a short walk to the beach and coffee places, restaurants and shops in close proximity as well. We would love to stay there again. We can't say enough nice things about this beautiful condo. Thank you!"
