  • Wonderful TIme

"We had a wonderful time in Maui for Christmas thanks to Mike and Ceceila and the great accommodations they provided. This property is beautiful and well maintained. The house is located right across the street from the beach. It was great to be able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the weather and the stars at night. Mike and Ceceila are wonderful people and made sure everything was perfect. Thank for a great vacation."

  • Nice home for large group

"We had an enjoyable stay at the house with our party of 8 adults and 4 children. The communal upstairs space is nice, bedrooms are plenty roomy and everything was clean and well equipped. For anyone not familiar with Maui, the nicer beaches are a drive to the south, but the very close walk to Sugar Beach was a great option. Just be sure to familiarize yourself with the general layout of Kihei so you know what to expect. Also, the running/walking along this stretch of beach is excellent. There are 2 cribs and 2 pack and plays, plus other kid-friendly amenities. Ludmila was helpful and accommodating in our rental. The value of this house compared to many other places we considered (and condos we stayed in) seemed good. A few improvements that would be nice: the kitchen could use some additional items--all of the knives were extremely dull and there wasn't any Tupperware, etc. The garage was packed full of building materials so we weren't able to access much in there in terms of beach gear, etc, although we did find one bike in working order and a few odds and ends. The BBQ is a bit scary--the gas leaks unless you turn off the tank and the igniter is not working."

  • Could Not have Been Better!

"We LOVED everything about our 6-night stay in this cottage and enthusiastically recommend it! The house is super comfortable, clean and well stocked. And the location is ideal, with a very private beach right across the street and good shopping options just a short drive away. It’s also conveniently located for outings – it was easy to access highways to get to all areas of the island. Our party included two families (5 total) and we cooked several meals at the house. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and serving and there is a gas grill available. We ate many of our meals outside in the lovely back garden, but we could also fit comfortably around the dining table. The air conditioning was very welcome on warmer days and combined with ceiling fans, cooled down the house quickly. The beds were comfy and everyone slept well. The bathrooms were spacious and stocked with LOTS of towels. There are a few other units on the property, but it still felt private and secluded, with plenty of paved onsite parking for the rental cars. Despite being on a fairly busy street, it was very quiet —even on the busy July 4th weekend we were not bothered by the traffic. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and immaculate; like having our own tropical paradise right outside. The beach is heavenly both for walking and swimming. There is a path to the beach directly across from the house. We took a stroll or jog every morning and evening and almost always had the beach to ourselves; shared only with a few local guys fishing or sometimes a few other walkers. We LOVED this aspect of our stay here – so very different from the busy resort scene. There is a wonderful outdoor shower and hose sprayer on the property to wash off the sand after visits to the beach. Michael & Cecelia are friendly and welcoming hosts. Michael was there to greet us when we arrived and showed around the house. When I made the blunder of leaving my hand luggage behind when we left, he was extremely kind and graciously went to the trouble of packing and shipping the suitcase back to me on the mainland. I know it was an inconvenience, but he never made me feel like I was putting him out. I am SO grateful to him for going above and beyond for me. All in all, we had a perfectly wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again if/when we are fortunate enough to return to Maui."

  • Very Nice

"Great location on Maui, relatively central and easy access to other areas. The room is very nice, well-maintained with a queen bed, full size futon, and spacious bathroom. Private enterance to room, and pleasant small patio to relax and enjoy meals (microwave & mini fridge provided) and weather. It's a wonderful, affordable place to stay for those visiting Maui on a budget and/or those who don't want to overpay at the big resorts. Located near a busy intersection, but traffic noise was minimal and didn't bother us during our week stay."
