  • Great apartment, great location

"We booked this apartment for our honeymoon. Location was perfect too. We love Kihei. Apartment was clean, had everything we needed. Even toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Kitchen had everything also. Refrigerator make ice and had even water filter, which we were thankful for. Patio was the best part for us. We love every morning having breakfast there. Lots of birds singing and trying to get some of your food lol. Kitchen cabinets could be up grated, and bathroom also. But We barely stayed in apartment. Everything you need for a beach, even cooler. Which was perfect. Everything was close by (stores). Thank you for letting us stay in your condo. Owners were so nice and they made it very nice for us to stay there."

  • Great rental! Super location! Wonderful owners!

"We were so lucky to be visiting Maui for 2 full months and found Deb's 1 bedroom at the KOA RESORT to be a wonderful choice! The location is centrally located to take in road trips all around the island, close to our favorite south Maui beaches (Palauea is our most favorite), and easy shopping access without being in right in the middle of Kihei's busiest areas. It can be hard to find rentals with a KING size bed and Deb's rental not only has a really nice KING bed, but also the 2 pullout couches in the living room. The kitchen has everything you need, and it was great to be able to grill, as that is what we used the most. The ceiling fans are all we needed with the breeze coming through the doors to stay really comfy. We also felt completely comfortable to sleep with the windows open at night and loved the sounds of the birds and geckos! I also loved the sun coming into the big bedroom window in the morning. The bathroom is so nicely updated! It is a great property, well maintained, it's obvious they care to keep it nice. It is really nice not having to look out at another building from the living room, all you see is green, lush tropical plants and the pretty yellow hibiscus flowers across the yard. Also, the first floor access was perfect for me as I am going in for a hip replacement, and it also made it easy to get in with luggage, groceries and beach gear. All in all this is a wonderful place to rent!! Deb is super to work with! Mahalo Deb! All the best to you and your family~~~"

  • Location, location, location!

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay at Muehene Shores Unit 401. Have been to Maui four times but never stayed in Kihei area. While we love Kaanapali for the Hawaiian tourist buzz it provides, Kihei is the place for getting to awesome beaches, snorkelling, golfing, whale watch tours etc. Our condo was well equipped, clean, and comfortable and the nightly cross breeze cool things down nicely. Used the pool and the beach in front of the complex. Turtles were in the shallow pool a few of the days. I would agree that despite being at he end of the 4th floor nearest the road, road noise was noticeable but not bothersome. Only hiccup was the Kihei Marathon sounds checks at 5:30am in the adjacent park. Whatever. Island time :-)"

  • Could Not have Been Better!

"We LOVED everything about our 6-night stay in this cottage and enthusiastically recommend it! The house is super comfortable, clean and well stocked. And the location is ideal, with a very private beach right across the street and good shopping options just a short drive away. It’s also conveniently located for outings – it was easy to access highways to get to all areas of the island. Our party included two families (5 total) and we cooked several meals at the house. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and serving and there is a gas grill available. We ate many of our meals outside in the lovely back garden, but we could also fit comfortably around the dining table. The air conditioning was very welcome on warmer days and combined with ceiling fans, cooled down the house quickly. The beds were comfy and everyone slept well. The bathrooms were spacious and stocked with LOTS of towels. There are a few other units on the property, but it still felt private and secluded, with plenty of paved onsite parking for the rental cars. Despite being on a fairly busy street, it was very quiet —even on the busy July 4th weekend we were not bothered by the traffic. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and immaculate; like having our own tropical paradise right outside. The beach is heavenly both for walking and swimming. There is a path to the beach directly across from the house. We took a stroll or jog every morning and evening and almost always had the beach to ourselves; shared only with a few local guys fishing or sometimes a few other walkers. We LOVED this aspect of our stay here – so very different from the busy resort scene. There is a wonderful outdoor shower and hose sprayer on the property to wash off the sand after visits to the beach. Michael & Cecelia are friendly and welcoming hosts. Michael was there to greet us when we arrived and showed around the house. When I made the blunder of leaving my hand luggage behind when we left, he was extremely kind and graciously went to the trouble of packing and shipping the suitcase back to me on the mainland. I know it was an inconvenience, but he never made me feel like I was putting him out. I am SO grateful to him for going above and beyond for me. All in all, we had a perfectly wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again if/when we are fortunate enough to return to Maui."
