"I have never written a review before but thought that Jim deserved high praises. He always replied quickly to my inquiries and everything he claimed was spot on. I wanted to look directly onto the ocean from the lanai (the pic is exactly what you see sitting down) I wanted a pool and I wanted a beach for my family. The 2nd bedroom and bathroom was a godsend when you have a teenage daughter travelling with you. It made mornings and evenings that much easier. The location is central but rent a car to sight see. Grocery shopping is easy at several markets within just a few miles of the condo. The condo has everything you could need and then some. Everything worked and had no complaints at all. The facilities on the property were well looked after and clean. As a matter of fact this was our first time renting a condo and not staying at a hotel and if given the choice again, we'll be staying with Jim if we are able to! Our friends who live on Maui said that we had the best location and condo facilities of any property they have visited and that's saying something as she is a wedding planner for a major hotel! The Kihei location was perfect for us to travel all over the island taking in almost all the island had to offer for our 2-week spring break vacation. Only thing we weren't too prepared for was the cost of food and restaurant meals. Not too surprising as everything has to be brought over to the islands. Just be forewarned. Kudos to Jim for making our first, and hopefully not last, trip to Maui a memory that will stay with us forever."Guest: Susan G. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 1, 2014View listing
"We had a wonderful time love the upgrades that have been made, we actually bought a coffee pot just like the one in the condo. Our only complaint is the company you have handeling the property is very unprofessional. we need a key to the screen and were given the wrong one."Guest: Alan & kellie M. "We LOVED everything about our 6-night stay in this cottage and enthusiastically recommend it! The house is super comfortable, clean and well stocked. And the location is ideal, with a very private beach right across the street and good shopping options just a short drive away. It’s also conveniently located for outings – it was easy to access highways to get to all areas of the island. Our party included two families (5 total) and we cooked several meals at the house. The kitchen is well stocked for meal prep and serving and there is a gas grill available. We ate many of our meals outside in the lovely back garden, but we could also fit comfortably around the dining table. The air conditioning was very welcome on warmer days and combined with ceiling fans, cooled down the house quickly. The beds were comfy and everyone slept well. The bathrooms were spacious and stocked with LOTS of towels. There are a few other units on the property, but it still felt private and secluded, with plenty of paved onsite parking for the rental cars. Despite being on a fairly busy street, it was very quiet —even on the busy July 4th weekend we were not bothered by the traffic. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and immaculate; like having our own tropical paradise right outside. The beach is heavenly both for walking and swimming. There is a path to the beach directly across from the house. We took a stroll or jog every morning and evening and almost always had the beach to ourselves; shared only with a few local guys fishing or sometimes a few other walkers. We LOVED this aspect of our stay here – so very different from the busy resort scene. There is a wonderful outdoor shower and hose sprayer on the property to wash off the sand after visits to the beach. Michael & Cecelia are friendly and welcoming hosts. Michael was there to greet us when we arrived and showed around the house. When I made the blunder of leaving my hand luggage behind when we left, he was extremely kind and graciously went to the trouble of packing and shipping the suitcase back to me on the mainland. I know it was an inconvenience, but he never made me feel like I was putting him out. I am SO grateful to him for going above and beyond for me. All in all, we had a perfectly wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again if/when we are fortunate enough to return to Maui."Guest: J S. "Listing was accurate regarding location, access to beach. Photos accurately reflected appearance and amenities - the condo was clean and well maintained. It accommodated our group of nine, ages 3 to 69 very comfortably. Location is great, with easy access to anyplace on Maui one might hope to go. We drove the "road to Hana", visited Lahaina, swam at several beaches on the island, snorkled at Molokini, drove to Haleakala and did some hiking there, enjoyed the nearby wildlife preserve. We had a wonderful dinner at Cuatro."Guest: Pat J. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 4, 2014View listing
