  • Nicely furnished, accessible location, good value

"My wife & I enjoyed a month stay (Jan-Feb 2015) with this condo unit as our home-base. The unit is nicely furnished and decorated. The kitchen had enough cookware/dishes for meals, including nice extras like a rice cooker. The unit lanai faces south, for a nice N-S breeze between the windows and lanai. (Barely used the A/C.) Location give easy access to far South beaches (using Piilani Hwy) in 15min, and West (Lahaina/Kaanapali) in 30min. Lots of beach gear on the lanai, including sand toys & snorkel sets: mostly usable, although several of the boogie boards were cracked. We used some things, and added a new set of Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrella when we left. We've stayed several times in KBV (at two other units), so were familiar with the location and didn't need any help while there. While we didn't ever see an onsite manager in the condo office, Ken had provided contact numbers, if help was needed. This was our first time in this unit, and it compared favorably with the others. Bottom line, we enjoyed the place and would come back."

  • Second Stay as great as the first! Ground floor and on sunny side of building!!

"Do not hesitate to rent this condo! We have just spent our second vacation at this property and are already planning to get back there. The location is awesome! Central to all the various activities on Maui and only a few seconds from the lanai til your toes are in the sand! Just a few of the things we would recommend... The Reef Dancer tour out of Lahaina Whale watching tours out of Maalaea Harbour The Aquarium in Maalaea I'oa Valley Dinner or lunch at The Five Palms restaurant in Kihei The Farmers Market just down the road from the condo, 61 S.Kihei Rd( best prices for local produce and they will reuse all your paper bags from the grocery store!) Beach access, at the very end of S. Kihei Rd., for Keawakapu beach. Was just the perfect surf size for our 7 year old to boogie board! Go in the morning before it gets too busy. Also wind tends to pick up in pm. Dinner on the roof top of the building!! Get up there and BBQ and watch sunset. The condo unit itself is extremely well stocked and clean. We really appreciated the supply of spices, as well as the plastic wrap, foil ,plastic containers and zip locks ! There was even pancake syrup this trip! The filtered water and ice maker in fridge is also a plus. No need to buy bottled water. They even have thermal cups to use. We packed up the cooler and took lunch/snacks with us on lots of our outings. Beds are comfy! The boogie boards, buckets and beach chairs are there too! We also added 3 floaty noodles to the stash in the closet! The new AC units are great, although we didn't use them a lot. There is usually a very cooling breeze if you open up entrance and lanai doors! Screens are on both. Also loved the keyless entry! No stress about losing keys! The pool is lovely and clean. Do be aware though that it is solar heated, so if the sun has not been out in full force it can be a bit chilly. If it is... Get in the ocean! We bobbed around in the water just to the left of the condo most mornings! Gentle waves. Also you can go for a lovely beach walk. The lagoon right in front of the complex is quite protected and good for kids. We didn't see turtles this trip, but they are there! The new washer and dryer work well. No need to pack a suitcase of dirty clothes home! Dinner at on site restaurant is a must if you like Indian food. Yummy! You can even BYOB! Very handy! Thank you Dave and Lynn for another fabulous time in your condo! It was so lovely to get to see you both this trip! Sue, K&D!!"

  • Excellent Everything!!!!!

"This condo is absolutely amazing. This was my first time in Maui and I made the best choice staying in this unit. I came for a wedding with 25 family members, staying at various locations and my condo was by far the best!!!! It had all the kitchen, bathroom, laundry, beach supplies you could need. A quick trip to Costco/Safeway and you're all set. I was really happy to have the ground floor. I could open my slider in the morning and listen to the waves, grab my coffee and walk the beach within steps. I also waited to book my excursions upon arrival. The condo has an activity center that helped me with my zip line and snorkel trips at prices lower than I researched. Don't forget a massage/facial on the property as well and great drinks at Dina's Sand Witch. Definitely coming back next year!!!!!"
