  • Great place for the family

"Overall we had a great stay. Brad, the owner was very responsive and helpful. The home has a great layout for multiple familes and the owner even provided a crib for our 18 month old. The closets were stocked with everything we needed from dishes and small appliances to beach chairs, umbrellas and toys. I would have given the stay 5 stars across the board except that we ran into some sloppy house keeping."

  • Perfect rental for us

"This studio condo in north Kihei was perfect for us. It has absolutely everything you need as others have described, and we really appreciated the hiking trails and Maui guidebooks. While it's an older condo complex, it was very clean and we liked that it wasn't a highrise resort, was very relaxed and the pool/hot tub/grill was closeby. The beach across the street was great for sunsets (as was the Indian restaurant). While No. Kihei is not the most scenic (a lot of mini malls) that made for lots of affordable restaurants and the location is perfect for travel to all parts of the island. Our favorite snorkeling was in So Kihei and south of there - turtles and monk seals at Makena Landing beach! On the road to Hana be sure to stop at Waianapanapa state park and walk a bit along the cliff trail from the black sand beach parking lot. Mel was the perfect 'landlord' - he sent us snorkeling info ahead of time and was amazingly accommodating when we almost had to cancel due to illness and then got there a day late due to airline issues. We would definitely recommend this property, and if Hawaii weren't so far away from Vermont we'd happily stay there again!"

  • Review of Kehei Bay Vista

"We have traveled the world and lived overseas, but this is the first time we have rented a condo for 2 weeks. It exceeded our expectations. We loved the access to the beach across the road and the several mile beach that we walked most mornings. The pool area with hot tub was a great way to relax after a day of sightseeing or beaching. There was some traffic noise, but it did not bother us as the complex itself was quiet. The unit was clean, nicely furnished, Maui style, and well equipped for inside and outdoors (cooler, beach chairs, snorkelling equip., etc.) It felt very spacious with the high ceilings and lanai. It was helpful to have basic food items (sugar, oil, vinegar, etc.), spices, wrap, etc. already there. We also liked that it was close to shops and restaurants but at a quieter end of S. Kihei Rd. We would recommend this place. We hope we can go again!"

  • A stay in paradise doesn't get any better than this!

"Unit was great from the get go. It is very well maintained & is so close to the shore. We lacked for nothing in the way of kitchen utensils, dinnerware or pots & pans. New pans, great lids. There is a fancy rice cooker but we didn't try it. In condo washer/dryer is a great feature. The king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a tub/shower unit & wasn't cramped. There were plenty of towels as well as beach towels & beach chairs, Tommy Bahamas, the real good ones on site. The appliances were great. The owner has thought of everything. The on sight BBQs are well maintained and there is a very nice pool in the compound. The living and dining room area was very functional. This is a great condo for a couple. We ate on the lanai most nights, & breakfasts enjoying the view, watching a spectacular array of whale beaches, jaw drops, tail slaps & blow whole spouting, right in front of us. There are binoculars in the condo. Many multiple breaches. Pretty spectacular. Ancient fish pond area is a nice area for those with children, or those that don't want to be pounded by the surf. That option is a few steps to the south & most days fairly calm. Owner was great to deal with. No problems what so ever. Close to the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale Sanctuary Visitor Center. Head to Lahaina for Warren & Annabelle's Magic Show. Great evening! Highly recommend. Book before your trip. Saturday am head to Kahului, Maui Swap Meat at college. Produce, artisans & souvenirs. 100 plus booths. Want flowers go early. Best pineapples - Costco. In Kihei at Uliani, shaved Ice. Get the ice cream in the bottom. What a treat! Go to outdoor market. Open 9-4 daily. Catch a Whale Watch boat ride. Head to Whaler's Village Mall in Kaanapali. Check out some stores. Stores (with purchase) gave us a validation sticker for 3 hours parking. Wander around shops & go to the Whaler's Museum. Nice walking handheld phone narration display. 11:00 am is time for Whale Talk which was a PowerPoint, video & whale volunteer discussion. Lasted an hour, very informative. Visit Up Country. Drive to Pa'Ia & Macawao. Head further Up Country, very scenic views of Maalaa Bay & Kahului shore area. Tour Ocean Organic Vodka distillery, made from sugar cane. Taste vodka & rum. So much to do so close to this condo. We enjoyed our stay here at on Maui's South Shore! Highly recommend this condo, so much in fact have already rebooked for next year."
