Very Nicely Renovated Condo At An Excellent Location, Great Owners!
"My wife and I just returned from our holiday to Maui having spent the first part of our trip at this fantastic condo at Kihei. The very nicely updated condo is on the second floor, in a quiet location situated in the highly rated Kamaole Sands. The condo's large, covered lanai overlooks the gardens and swimming pool, unlike some of the other condos in the complex that look out into parking lots and have smaller lanais.
All of the amenities we could have hoped for were available, including a boogie board, snorkel equipment, a cooler, tennis rackets and folding lawn chairs.
Kamaole Sands is conveniently located on South Kihei Road, directly across from a beautiful sandy beach and park, and is a short walk to restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores.
Wanda, the contact person/ owner is a wonderful person. She was very friendly throughout the entire rental process. She promptly responded to all of our inquiries. During the process, she informed me that others attempted to influence her into renting her condo to them with offers of more money. Wanda demonstrated that she is a loyal and ethical owner by holding the condo for us pending execution of the rental agreement.
When we return to Kihei, we hope that we will again be able to rent this wonderful condo.
Thank you Wanda and John from Frank and Sandy..., your friends to the North."

"Just got back from a week at this condo. John has great pride in his unit, as he should. We have stayed in this resort many times - in many different condos- and John is the only owner to meet us upon arrival and show us through the condo. It was spotless and had pretty much everything you will need for your stay. Other reviews have stated the cupboards were stocked with spices and other goodies. That could be misleading a bit. The fact is, what's in the cupboards are things that the previous guests have left behind, so use at your discretion. Beds were comfortable. The main floor bedroom had 3 twin beds making it great for families. Both bathroom were immaculate. Some of the condos we have stayed in, you really didn't want to use the shower, but not here. The new glass block shower enclosures are fantastic. Beach equipment was pretty good. 3 really nice chairs and one not so good - for an adult anyway. Beach mats are the best - not those cheap ones you find at the ABC stores. We didn't need the air conditioner. The cross ventilation kept the place nice and cool. We BBQ'd most nights and ate in the condo. We would have loved to have eaten our dinners on the lanai, but it was way too dark. One small light outside the sliding doors was in no way bright enough to see what you were eating, but breakfast on the lanai was great. I think it took us less time to get to the beach than it did to get to the pool. That means you are directly over the main road through Kihei. It's great for people watching but I have to honest, it can get a little noisy from the traffic. In fact we had to keep the windows and sliding door closed at bedtime or risked the chance of being woken up early from the traffic. And the views from the lanai aren't quite what you might expect. Yes you can can see the ocean, but only in the distance. There are too many trees in the way to get a really great view of the beach and the surf crashing in. You can hear it but you can't see it. The sunsets, not from the lanai. You have to go out the back door, and still there are some trees in the way. To get a really good look, grab the chairs and and beverage and just go down and across the street and enjoy the show. So basically the street noise and the partial views kept us from giving this a 5 star rating, but I would recommend this unit this that caveat, to my friends."

"This was our first time in Maui and we were absolutely privileged to stay in this wonderful unit for 6 nights. The island was incredible to see and explore and having this place to come home to each night made the trip truly exceptional. Everything we needed was available in the unit. It was so clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The final plus was the great proximity to nice restaurants and beautiful beaches for snorkeling and swimming.
Lis was extremely accommodating and welcoming. She made us feel right at home. We will definitely stay here again if we find our way back to Maui in the future."
