Recent South Kihei (Kamaole III Beach Area) reviews
"We loved the condo and it is the best one so far at Kamaole Sands. We have been to the resort many times over the years and this time was the best experience. Privacy and quiet is big with us and this fit our needs, along with the views. The large lanai was our home away from home.
Cooking, relaxing and reading was our routine and a perfect spot to relax and recover from our busy mainland lives.
I would recommend it to family and friends."

"We stayed for a week in this beautiful, spacious, updated and immaculately clean condo. It has everything you need for cooking, laundry and the beach. The dishwasher was a real bonus! We loved the private deck area and ate a lovely breakfast there most mornings. We also cooked two suppers and used the great great gas barbeques which were very close.
Some great things we did:
-the road to Hana, harrowing but fun! Go past Hana to the Seven Sacred Pools and do a hike on the Pipiwai Trail; the hike totally made the drive worth it.
-Chang's Beach: south of Wailea; we practically had it to ourselves.
-the coastline walkway through Wailea; we got to watch the back of some expensive luaus!
-shopping in Papai.
-visit the Lahaina area but stay in Kihei which is much more relaxed and has better beaches.
We found lots of great eats from wildly expensive to cheap but delicious. Here were some of our favorites:
-Mama's Fish House: an amazing once in lifetime experience.
-808 Deli: fabulous lunch place; my mouth is watering now just thinking of it.
-Maui Taco: great Mexican.
-Coconut's Fish Taco: excellent but very busy.
-Kihei Cafe: a great breakfast place.
We found the guide "Maui Revealed" to be very helpful as well as a GPS.
There were restaurants and sights we didn't get to but plan to go back soon for more experiences and when we do we will try to get this unit again. It was perfect for our enjoyment!
Also Tracy was great and very responsive to all emails we sent. Thanks for everything!

"The unit was nicely renovated and well equipped. There was an ample supply of beach gear including snorkel equipment. To get To the Kam III beach you had to cross a busy road and walk 3 blocks. I would recommend this unit strongly. The development is a mid level property. This particular unit has water views from a balcony and is among the closest to the beach. NB While we did not have young children the condo bylaws were not child friendly and prohibited bike riding and skateboarding."

"We absolutely loved our 7 nights stay at this unit. It has everything you could need and more. It's equiped with high end appliances and kitchen cookware. The beds were super confortable as was the lounge area. The views are excellent as it faces both the ocean and the mountains behind. It's north west orientation kept the unit cooler also. Having barely no trade winds during our stay and very humid temperatures, we were glad we we not facing south! Great beach and snorkeling just a minute walk.
Leslie, the manager was very helpfull and the renting process was simple and fast. Don't hesitate, this ones a gem!"
