"First of all, 803 at the Mana Kai is a lovely condo inside and out. The owners have it all set up with everything we needed for our stay. The bedroom was very comfortable. We left the windows open so we could hear the ocean all night. The kitchen is well stocked the bathrooms have plenty of towels, including beach towels. My favorite part of this condo, however, was the view. This condo is on the top floor (8th floor) and it has one of the best views at the Mana Kai. Every morning we woke up to have coffee and breakfast on the lanai with a spectacular view. We could often see sea turtles right from the lanai. It's a perfect spot for relaxing and reading a good book. This was our second stay at the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai is on a lovely beach on the South side of Kihei. It's a great location -- close enough to easily travel to the town for groceries, shops, restaurants, but far enough to be away from the crowds. The beach itself is beautiful. We have never seen it crowded. There is nice snorkeling right outside the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai has a good restaurant right downstairs. They have an extended happy hour and it's a great, convenient place to go for a light dinner and drinks. They also have rentals right at the Mana Kai now, something that wasn't present the last time we visited, which was about seven years ago. Now you can rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards and snorkel gear right on site. We took advantage of this and rented both kayaks and stand up paddle boards at reasonable rates. The pool has been re-done since we were last there and it is very pleasant. We never had to fight for lounge chairs at the pool or on the large grassy area next to the beach, as we have had to do at other resorts on Maui. The owners are also very nice. We were scheduled to fly in right when not one, but two hurricanes were projected to hit Hawaii. The owners allowed us to delay our trip at the last minute and we really appreciated that. Overall we had a wonderful stay at 803 Mana Kai. If you want to have a lovely, relaxing vacation, I recommend you come here. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Nine days was not enough."Guest: Portland1 Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 27, 2014View listing
"We rented this unit for 8 nights in early October. This is an absolutely perfect rental, and the view from the balcony is gorgeous! The complex is right on the Kihei / Wailea boundary, so you get top-dollar views and location for much less than you would pay in Wailea. My wife is a gourmet cook, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The bed was super-comfortable and was the best bed we had on the three islands we visited. It is supposedly the same bed you will get at the 4 Seasons. The pool is luxurious, and the beach is just steps away. We planted on lounge chairs under trees on the beautiful lawn right next to the beach, and it was easy to walk ten steps to the beach and ocean, or over to the pool if you prefer. The waves are calm in the morning, but can get a bit energetic some afternoons. If you want to go to other beaches on the island, the condo's closet contains chairs, umbrellas, ice chests and everything else you need. Don't miss the restaurant - we had a great meal there. The reserved parking spot is convenient and close to the entrance. The AC does a great job of cooling the unit. There is a safe in the condo for safeguarding personal items and laundry facilities are just across from the elevators. We slept in the main bed and used the other bedroom to store our suitcases and personal items. One tip - although you can see through the curtains to the outside during the day, people outside cannot see into your condo at night. Your privacy is assured. The vibe is very casual - put on your bathing suit in the morning and don't take it off again unless you want to go out to eat. You will LOVE this condo!"Guest: Dave Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 20, 2014View listing
"Hi Erik, I just wanted to send a quick note and say that we really enjoyed your condo again for our duration of 26SEP-3OCT!! The amenities are great and the view is wonderful. We took 4 extra people with us this time (not all in this condo, they stayed in 508) and they all agreed that this is an absolute prime location for enjoying Maui. As always, the condo was pristine, very welcoming, and comfortable. 601 is definitely a prime location as it is closest to the beach! We seem to be on a 2 year pattern for returning to Maui, so I may be emailing/calling you again next year. Thanks again for providing such a great place to enjoy Maui! Best Regards, Mike"Guest: Mike Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 15, 2014View listing
"This condo was great cause it was clean and new, it was on the 8th floor so we had optimum view, any lower is covered by palm trees...The location is optimal cause it was walk to shopping and walk to the resorts just up the beach. The amenities are excellent with a restaurant and store downstairs and tour guide in the lobby. It was a little smaller than we thot it would be, a little tight for 2 couples, but perfect for a family that knows each other and doesnt mind the close space!"Guest: Jennifer F.
