  • Great 4 night stay

"We had a great 4 night stay at the Mana Kai in this unit. The unit is clean, beds are comfortable and the management company in charge of this unit was very attentive to our needs. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone, especially those who have been to the Mana Kai in the past and who knows how special this resort really is. My thanks to Mindy, the property management principal who helped us with our emergency on the last day."

  • Lovely condo, amazing view!

"First of all, 803 at the Mana Kai is a lovely condo inside and out. The owners have it all set up with everything we needed for our stay. The bedroom was very comfortable. We left the windows open so we could hear the ocean all night. The kitchen is well stocked the bathrooms have plenty of towels, including beach towels. My favorite part of this condo, however, was the view. This condo is on the top floor (8th floor) and it has one of the best views at the Mana Kai. Every morning we woke up to have coffee and breakfast on the lanai with a spectacular view. We could often see sea turtles right from the lanai. It's a perfect spot for relaxing and reading a good book. This was our second stay at the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai is on a lovely beach on the South side of Kihei. It's a great location -- close enough to easily travel to the town for groceries, shops, restaurants, but far enough to be away from the crowds. The beach itself is beautiful. We have never seen it crowded. There is nice snorkeling right outside the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai has a good restaurant right downstairs. They have an extended happy hour and it's a great, convenient place to go for a light dinner and drinks. They also have rentals right at the Mana Kai now, something that wasn't present the last time we visited, which was about seven years ago. Now you can rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards and snorkel gear right on site. We took advantage of this and rented both kayaks and stand up paddle boards at reasonable rates. The pool has been re-done since we were last there and it is very pleasant. We never had to fight for lounge chairs at the pool or on the large grassy area next to the beach, as we have had to do at other resorts on Maui. The owners are also very nice. We were scheduled to fly in right when not one, but two hurricanes were projected to hit Hawaii. The owners allowed us to delay our trip at the last minute and we really appreciated that. Overall we had a wonderful stay at 803 Mana Kai. If you want to have a lovely, relaxing vacation, I recommend you come here. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Nine days was not enough."

  • Perfect Maui vacation rental

"Mana Kai 204 definitely exceeded my expectations. I love staying in nice hotels but with a toddler it's not as practical so I was thrilled that this unit made me feel like I had all the luxury of a nice Wailea resort without the crowds and with a great kitchen. The unit is beautifully decorated with top of the line furnishings and kitchenware. I really appreciated how tastefully selected all the artwork, linens, and decor were. The view from the bed in the b unit is phenomenal and really gives you that perfect Maui vacation sensation as you fall asleep and wake up to the sights and sound of a beautiful expanse of ocean. The lack of in unit laundry was not a problem at all since the machines are steps away and were never full. The hotel faces a lovely beach. We have visited Maui three times and made trips all over the island and I have to say the beach right outside the complex is one of my favorite. The sand is soft and without lots of debris and the waves in October were gentle enough to swim in for hours with our two year old. It is an easy walk down to the Wailea beaches and boardwalk if you are looking for a little exercise. In addition the snorkeling is fantastic, I saw giant sea turtles every day. The complex offers ather amenities like a nice general store and a great restraunt and sushi bar with a kid friendly and well priced happy hour. I also took advantage of the yoga studio downstairs which was very relaxing. I would recommend this unit to anyone in this price range and will definitely stay at Mana Kai on subsequent trips to Maui."
