"First of all, 803 at the Mana Kai is a lovely condo inside and out. The owners have it all set up with everything we needed for our stay. The bedroom was very comfortable. We left the windows open so we could hear the ocean all night. The kitchen is well stocked the bathrooms have plenty of towels, including beach towels. My favorite part of this condo, however, was the view. This condo is on the top floor (8th floor) and it has one of the best views at the Mana Kai. Every morning we woke up to have coffee and breakfast on the lanai with a spectacular view. We could often see sea turtles right from the lanai. It's a perfect spot for relaxing and reading a good book.
This was our second stay at the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai is on a lovely beach on the South side of Kihei. It's a great location -- close enough to easily travel to the town for groceries, shops, restaurants, but far enough to be away from the crowds. The beach itself is beautiful. We have never seen it crowded. There is nice snorkeling right outside the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai has a good restaurant right downstairs. They have an extended happy hour and it's a great, convenient place to go for a light dinner and drinks. They also have rentals right at the Mana Kai now, something that wasn't present the last time we visited, which was about seven years ago. Now you can rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards and snorkel gear right on site. We took advantage of this and rented both kayaks and stand up paddle boards at reasonable rates. The pool has been re-done since we were last there and it is very pleasant. We never had to fight for lounge chairs at the pool or on the large grassy area next to the beach, as we have had to do at other resorts on Maui.
The owners are also very nice. We were scheduled to fly in right when not one, but two hurricanes were projected to hit Hawaii. The owners allowed us to delay our trip at the last minute and we really appreciated that.
Overall we had a wonderful stay at 803 Mana Kai. If you want to have a lovely, relaxing vacation, I recommend you come here. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Nine days was not enough."

"This was our first time to Mana Kai and our second visit to Maui. The view of the beach and ocean was unbelievable. It was wonderful to enjoy a cup of coffee each morning on the balcony watching the waves and even seeing turtles. Several nights we left the sliding glass door open to listen to the waves. What a great way to fall asleep. We have been staying in condos for a number of years with our two daughters (now ages 10 and 13), and this was by far the cleanest one ever! My girls loved the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the showers. They had all the kitchen needs covered, plenty of beach towels, and a number of activity magazines to look through. Sylvia was great to work with and the cleaning ladies that came half-way through our stay were wonderful. One thing to keep in mind is that the second "bedroom" is in the family room. It is right next to the kitchen with no privacy. It was great for us-our kids stayed in the first bedroom so we got to have that one and listen to the waves at night, but some may not like it. The a/c was a huge plus, especially having two of them (second one was in the other bedroom). We talked to some people staying in other condos at Mana Kai who only had one a/c and they were pretty miserable. This particular room, # 204, is right above the restaurant, but it wasn't really a big deal. I woke up a number of days hearing them setting up the tables, but I am a light sleeper. It was nice to smell bacon though! Joe was a great waiter and Tracy was a fantastic help at the activities desk. Also, Robin in the Surf shop was great. Oh, one small hiccup was that we weren't told that the ice maker is VERY slow at making ice. You definitely need to buy ice throughout your stay. We used a lot of it as we brought insulated water bottles for the beach (both onsite and other beaches we visited). It wasn't a big deal except we didn't know the ice maker wasn't working until we ran out of the ice that the previous renters must have bought. Highly recommend that you go to Costco for groceries. They are almost the same prices as back home and will save you a LOT of money. Safeway is also good (make sure to get the Safeway card), but don't go to Foodland. We bought six bags of groceries (breakfast stuff, a little for lunch, beer, a small bottle of vodka) and spent $300.
We would highly recommend this property and would definitely return. The owners have done a remarkable job!"

"Have been staying at the Mana Kai for over 20 years. This was our third stay with this particular owner. Their units are beautifully appointed. It's all so lovely and easy - everything a vacation should be. We will be back!"

"Beautiful condo, amazing view and perfect location! Thank you so much for working with us on our schedule and sharing your piece of Heaven. Recommend to anyone going to Maui! We were there with our 3 month old baby and could not have been more comfortable."
