  • There's no place I'd rather be

"The place was perfect for us. We were on the top floor (4th floor). While we had access to an elevator, we were much closer to the stairs so we decided to get a "little bit" of exercise. The condo has no A/C. Was it an issue? When we first walked in around 7pm last Monday, I longed for an A/C. In fact, Nancy said, "Tomorrow, we're going to buy a portable A/C." But....but...but...the moment we opened ALL the windows, and turned on all the fans (there were probably 8 fans in the unit), and with the help of the Hawaiian breeze, who needs an A/C? Having the windows open also allowed us to listen to the birds, chickens, and the waves of the ocean. So having no A/C was not an issue at all. Once you enter the living room/kitchen area, your view directs you to the lanai...and you're looking out to Kamaole Beach Park III, and a panoramic view of the trees, mountains and ocean. This was our home for 9 days. We usually end up buying or renting the basic necessities once we get to Hawaii. We didn't need to do that this time. All of these items were accessible to us at this condo - body board, skim board, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, goggles, and ice coolers. The kitchen had access to a great set of cookware, rice cooker (a must for us), toaster, blenders, and mini-food processor. Nothing was spared. Even the pantry was loaded with more than the basics. There were spice racks, vinegar, Shoyu sauce, olive oil, vegetable oil, pancake syrup. There was a stackable washer and dryer in the unit, and guess what else was provided? Laundry detergent!!! I kid you not. The linen closet had every towel imaginable - clean and very "white" bath towels, facial towels, and an assortment of beach towels. There's Wi-Fi in the unit, and the speed was very decent. As with anything, things will break, and we had no washing machine for 2 days. But all it took was a quick call to the owner, she was on it, got a technician to come out, and got the washing machine fixed. We were really fortunate to have stayed in this condo. And when we return to Maui, I'm hoping we can stay here again. We just couldn't ask for anything more."

  • Lovely condo near best beaches on Maui

"My wife and I joined a number of other family members in Maui for 2 weeks. Other family members chose to stay in other condo complexes nearby. Ours was easily the nicest. The complex has 2 very nice pool areas with BBQ's...and many other BBQ's scattered about the complex, including a couple close to this unit. This condo was spacious and modern with a nice lanai looking out over the ocean, albeit looking over the boat launch parking area and through some power lines. In this section of Kihei, however, almost all condos are across the road from the beaches...so few of the complexes in this area will give an unobstructed view. But, we still enjoyed some very nice sunset views from the lanai. After having driven around the entire island, we concluded that Kihei and nearby Wailea have the largest number and best beaches. Kihei also gets the best weather. So if you like variety of beaches and snorkeling opportunities, Kihei is place to be and this condo an excellent choice to stay. The owner is also wonderful to work with. Very responsive and provided loads of useful information. Favorites: 1) The "Dumps" for snorkeling (by far best aside from Molokini)...but not great beach for anything else 2) Rent a paddleboard at Maui Wave Riders across from Kalama Park, $30 for day (if you rent along beach in Wailea or Kaanapali, it will be about $40/hour) 3) 5 Palms restaurant for a great dinner with view 4) Snorkel trip to Molokini....we booked with Seafire Charters (http://seafirecharters.com/Molokini_Snorkeling.html) and were very happy. They use smaller boats (up to 22 people max) than many and depart from the boat launch right across the street making very convenient. They focus more on snorkeling, less on the food/cruising...just the way we wanted. 5) Black Sand Beach near Hana 6) Warren & Annabelle's magic show in Lahaina 7) Hike/bike Haleakal Crater 9) Road to Hana. But if you do this, don't turn around and go back same way. Continue going all the way around. Even though some maps and rental car agents say "don't do it"...it's ok if you are used to narrow roads 10) Kamaole 1,2,3 beaches are good but can be crowded. Keawakapu and Poolenalena Beaches are less crowded but nice 11) Hookipa Beach to watch the surfers (especially in big waves). Bonus: Green turtles come up on far right side of beach (when looking at ocean) from 4:00 to 6:30 in eve. AWESOME!! Sit and watch nature in action."

  • Great condo at Kamaole Sands!

"We had an absolutely awesome 4 week holiday staying at this condo in Kamaole Sands. From my first communication with the owners until the end of our stay, I found them to be extremely helpful and conscientious. We made great use of the large lani and loungers, as well as the in-suite laundry. With a short walk across the street to the beach, Kamaole Sands was the perfect condo for us. Mahalo and we look forward to our next stay!"

  • Beautiful, comfortable and enjoyable condo!

"It was wonderful to begin our vacation in Maui knowing that the condo we rented was as nice as the listing portrayed. The accommodations met our expectations. The loveliness of Hawaii surrounded us inside and out. Cliff has certainly been thoughtful in providing whatever one would need in a home away from home, including the beach supplies which are often not provided or very minimal. We could’ve stayed forever, relaxing on the lanai. Maui Kamaole is in a great location and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful, overlooking a breathtaking ocean view. You are within minutes of many beaches, restaurants and shopping. Check-in went smoothly and the attendant was very helpful and friendly with a smile! Cliff was responsive and accommodating with our questions and the rental process. We did not want to leave such a comfortable and enjoyable setting and hope to return sooner than later. Thank You, Cliff."
