"aloha -after staying at anitas condo from aug 10 thru aug 20,2014 my wife and i agree with the reviews on her web site. she is very responsive 2 questions, is a wealth of knowledge pertaining 2 what is best place for this or that. things she has no control over are: #1. the unit is about 175 steps to the nearest bbq area, which r very nice and clean. it was easier 2 drive the car, park very close 2 the bbq area adjacent to bldg 1, cook and drive back. #2. parking lot lighting adjacent to bldg 10 needs improved. some buildings have good lighting others inadequate. some positive thoughts - condo's proximity to kam 2 and 3, eateries, foodland, strip malls is great. fyi - road trip to lahaina is always very scenic. driving on the 2 lane coastal road can b frustrating, due 2 an accident or just "rush hour", but thats part of the islands charm. just like driving up and down PCH 1 in s. or n. california. accept the good with the bad. cheapest place to buy gas is still costcos. when driving north it is worth 2 fillup, with avg saving of ~ 50 cents/gal."

  • Great!

"Had a great stay in this condo. The large lanai is wonderful and has a great view. The trade winds keep the unit nice and cool, never needed the A/C. Be sure to snorkel across the street and see the turtles!"

  • Beach family

"Just what we needed! This place was great all around. Great location, great condo, great pool, great weather, great beach supplies. This condo has everything you need including stuff for the beach (boogie boards, beach chairs/umbrella, snorkeling gear, beach matts, etc). When we come back to Maui we will definitely stay here again! Can't wait for our next trip back to paradise:) Thanks to William for the great experience!"

  • Lovely condo, amazing view!

"First of all, 803 at the Mana Kai is a lovely condo inside and out. The owners have it all set up with everything we needed for our stay. The bedroom was very comfortable. We left the windows open so we could hear the ocean all night. The kitchen is well stocked the bathrooms have plenty of towels, including beach towels. My favorite part of this condo, however, was the view. This condo is on the top floor (8th floor) and it has one of the best views at the Mana Kai. Every morning we woke up to have coffee and breakfast on the lanai with a spectacular view. We could often see sea turtles right from the lanai. It's a perfect spot for relaxing and reading a good book. This was our second stay at the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai is on a lovely beach on the South side of Kihei. It's a great location -- close enough to easily travel to the town for groceries, shops, restaurants, but far enough to be away from the crowds. The beach itself is beautiful. We have never seen it crowded. There is nice snorkeling right outside the Mana Kai. The Mana Kai has a good restaurant right downstairs. They have an extended happy hour and it's a great, convenient place to go for a light dinner and drinks. They also have rentals right at the Mana Kai now, something that wasn't present the last time we visited, which was about seven years ago. Now you can rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards, boogie boards and snorkel gear right on site. We took advantage of this and rented both kayaks and stand up paddle boards at reasonable rates. The pool has been re-done since we were last there and it is very pleasant. We never had to fight for lounge chairs at the pool or on the large grassy area next to the beach, as we have had to do at other resorts on Maui. The owners are also very nice. We were scheduled to fly in right when not one, but two hurricanes were projected to hit Hawaii. The owners allowed us to delay our trip at the last minute and we really appreciated that. Overall we had a wonderful stay at 803 Mana Kai. If you want to have a lovely, relaxing vacation, I recommend you come here. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. Nine days was not enough."
