  • Kihei Cottage - The perfect vacation home!

"We had a wonderful vacation experience at this property in November 2014. I noticed my brother already reviewed on here as well, but I would also like to give my feedback and recommendation as we had such a great time on our vacation and the Kihei Cottage was one of the highlights! There were 10 of us traveling on short notice to visit family on Maui. We booked flights one week before departure and we were scrambling to find accommodations for everything. After endless searching I found this gem and contacted the owner, Lisa. Lisa was wonderful and she worked diligently over the next few days to get everything setup and ready for our arrival just a few days later! Lisa was a pleasure to work with and even had detailed documents/information on the unit and nearby area that we read up on before we arrived. We rented the 3 bedroom unit upstairs and also the lower level 1BR ohana for our parents. It was the perfect setting for our vacation. Families/Kids were upstairs and our parents were in the ohana with their own separate living quarters. We had family from Maui over for meals and the spacious living room and patio areas were more than accommodating for everyone. My parents travel to the islands at least once a year and I know they will be checking availability on the ohana next time they travel to Maui! Everything was as expected in the unit and a bonus was the freshly remodeled bathroom in the ohana which my parents loved! The neighborhood was very quiet with very little traffic. In the mornings we headed out for a jog and within 5 minutes we were oceanside on South Kihei Road and also along the paved trails along the resorts in wailea just south of kihei. Simply breathtaking views for a morning run! The location of the house is perfect as you can walk to the Kamaole beaches within 10 mins or its just a few minutes drive to any of the great Kihei beaches. It's also just a short drive to the shops at Wailea or the Wailea golf courses. If you are adventuring out around the island, you have easy access to Piilani Hwy to get where you need to go. I can't wait to go back and stay at the Kihei Cottage!"

  • Perfect location

"If you are reading this review, then you are considering staying at this property. Well, look no further and book now! The condo unit is in one of the best locations on property. The lanai faces right out to the ocean with views of the other islands, partial view of Molokini and awesome sunsets. The Kam 3 beach is about 1/2 a block down the street, and there are many shops and restaurants with in walking distance. The condo is well appointed with comfortable beds, decent furniture, nice TV and electronics. There happened to be beach towels available for use, plus some snorkel gear, boogie boards and chairs for use at the beach and watching sunsets. Oh yeah, we were also treated to humpback whale viewing almost everyday. You could see them swimming and jumping out of the water clearly from the lanai. There are a couple of pools on property, and we never had any problems getting lounge chairs for the 4 of us. If you like good food, I would recommend 808 Bistro, Fred's, Mulligans and Mateo's. Next time we go back to Maui, we will try and get this unit again."

  • Great Condo

"This is our 4th time in the unit and we love it. Well decorated and kitchen has everything you might need. We love the privacy and the large lanai. We have stayed in Kamaole Sands previously and this is definitely the best unit we have stayed in."

  • Absolutely lovely!

"Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us! This condo was clean, well stocked and a close distance to shopping and restaurants. The lanai is HUGE and we loved starting our day by having our morning coffee on it. The views are wonderful and we enjoyed making our way to the beach every night (with many other guests/residents) to watch the beautiful sunsets. I would recommend Maui Sunset and this unit to anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home. Terry, the owners daughter, was fantastic to work with, very polite and helpful. Thank you again, so much! We will dream about our stay here long after we're gone! Mahalo!!"
