  • Well-stocked condo at Hale Kamaole

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed at #214 at Hale Kamaole for 5 nights in February of 2014. We usually stay at Kamaole Sands next door, but we couldn't find a unit we liked there for this stay (we booked in August of 2013 but a lot of prime units were already booked!) so we chose to book at Hale Kamaole. We are really glad we did! The complex is quiet, much smaller than Kamaole Sands, and very friendly.<br/><br/>This specific unit was very well stocked (boogie boards, beach chairs, beach umbrella for the beach; dishes for at least six and pots and pans in the kitchen) and everything was in good working order. The unit faces one of the pools and has a partial ocean view. Please note that the sun sets right behind the office building (in the winter anyway) so unfortunately, you can't see it set behind the ocean from this unit. Easy fix - walk over to the oceanfront lawn at Kamaole III beach park and enjoy the sunset with other visitors! By the way Kamaole III has some of the best boogie boarding (particularly in the afternoon) in South Maui, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.<br/><br/>We definitely recommend Hale Kamaole complex and this unit!<br/>"

  • one of the best at Kamaole

"This place is great. Unit closest to the water, parking next to the elevator, and John the owner was great to deal with, even brought us flowers from his garden. If/when i'm back in maui and need a two bedroom it will be this one for sure. the grounds at Kamaole Sands are beautifully maintained and are great for families and groups etc. Lots of BBQs on site (all newer Webers) .... plus mai tai wednesdays! ;)"

  • Can't Imagine a Better Place to Stay on Maui!

"My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at Kihei Kai #12! What a treat to be steps from what became our favorite beach on Maui - Sugar Beach. We took longs walks every night and enjoyed the patio for meals. We canoed with the Maui Canoe Club just up the beach from us. We snorkeled, sunbathed, swam, relaxed, all of it! Right from our homebase. Chip and Charlotte couldn't have been more accommodating. When the island's first hurricane in 22 years threatened to hit, they were a phone call away to make sure we had what we needed and felt safe. They even offered to let us come stay with them if things got bad! Luckily, the weather held off and we got to finish our vacation in our cozy condo, taking advantage of the smart TV during the few rain showers we did have. A few other highlights before I sign off: - Dina's Sandwitch up the beach was so much fun for drinks and food. Met locals each night we went who offered great advice. - Loved the collection of books to borrow from right by the condo's laundry unit! - Go get a macadamia nut cinnamon roll from Kihei Caffe down the road a bit. I wish I had gone back for a second before leaving. Best thing I ate all week. - Canoeing with the Maui Canoe Club just steps away was a real treat (and great arm workout) for cheap. - Shopping for unique souvenirs is so much better upcountry (Pa'ia, Makawao) than Front Street in Lahaina. If we ever make it back to Maui, the only thing I know we'll do for sure is stay at the Kihei Kai #12. Thanks for everything, Chip and Charlotte!"

"We had a wonderful time staying in your home away from home. Everything was as represented in the description and pictures. The owners went far out of their way to help us with everything from maps to entertainment recommendations. We will surely try to stay here on our next visit to Maui. Thank you for a great stay."
