  • Great location...excellent Value!

"My wife and 2 kids just got back....the condo was quite nice, had everything we needed so didn't have to purchase any water toys, condiments, etc. Ground floor was perfect as our kids are 8 & 11 so they were able to go out onto the lawn and play soccer, etc. The location couldn't be any better...right accross the street from a perfect beach and walking distance to all our favourite restaurants. Even our neighbour was great...he gave us his paper every morning. We will be back!"

  • paradise that is practically perfect in every way

"We loved this little piece of paradise! everything was so comfortable and accessible- we had a lovely beach view for breakfast outside - ground floor can't be beat! Would love to see wifi added but the Denny's next door does have wifi for those in need as we were from time to time. Perfectly appointed place in every other way and a pleasure to deal with the owners to make the arrangements. Highly recommended. Do expect a bit of traffic noise (it's Kihei) - not a lot - and it didn't bother us at all."

  • Excellent management company

"This review is a little odd because we did not actually get to stay at the property. We spent a week in Kauai and planned to stay a week in Maui at the Kauhale Makai. As we were preparing to leave Kauai for Maui, we received notice that my brother was critically ill and was undergoing life-saving surgery. We thus booked a flight immediately back to Colorado and sadly missed the Maui part of our vacation. The managment of these units was fantatsic (we worked with Ken) in being compassionate about our circumstance and offering to do what they could to partially refund our money. In this day and age to have someone actually care about their customers is refreshing. We are very grateful to Ken for his help and will certainly stay with them next time we are in Maui. My brother is on the road to a full recovery, so we will bring him with us! Thanks so much Ken and 5 Star Maui Resorts!"

  • Best location on the beach

"Our family loved this condo! There was plenty of space for our family of five and we were absolutely thrilled with the close proximity to the beach and pool. We ate every meal on the balcony staring at the beautiful view. The grounds of the property were well kept and lovely. Walking the long stretches of beaches that run in front of the property, we decided that Maalea Surf definitely had the best spot and layout compared to the surrounding properties. It was also conveniently located to plenty of shops and restaurants and its central location on the island made it easy to make short day trips to all other parts of the island. The owner and housekeeper were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back to this condo in the future!"
