  • Dream Vacation Spot!

"Walt and Carol have created a dream vacation spot! Our stay at Maui Kamaole (272623) made our first trip to Maui the dream vacation we had envisioned! The unit is beautiful and very well maintained with views of both the ocean and mountains!!! All of the amenities made our stay so enjoyable! We loved being able to come back from the beach and visit the beautiful pools and grill out on the BBQ! All of the extra care that Walt and Carol have taken to provide for our every need were incredible and made our trip unforgettable. From boogie boards to snorkel equipment, beach chairs, etc. we had everything we needed to make the most of our experience. We loved starting the day off snorkeling at all of the great beaches! The guide that they have provided on all of the local attractions made planning out our stay so easy!! We took advantage of many of your great suggestions! Our experience included a Luau, the Road to Hana, a helicopter ride, and of course, dinner at Mama’s Fish House. Your snorkel suggestions kept us going back for more!!!! We felt like we had our own personal concierge service with all of the useful information you provided in your guidebooks. Truly a paradise destination for us and having spent two weeks in Walt and Carol’s Maui Kamaole condo we will definitely book again!!!!"

  • Maui Nani Kai Hale April 2014

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Older property but in good condition. North Kihei can be a bit windier than South Kihei."

"My family of 5 stayed at Melissa's condo for 10 days and it was the greatest experience on a vactaion we have had ever had!! We are comimg back! It was clean, updated, and cupboards were fully stocked with every fork, spoon, pot, cup, etc that was needed. The kitchen also had spices, condiments and fresh unopened food that previous guests would leave complimentary after there stay. It had everything for the beach, chairs, snorkel gear, boards, towels. There was an abundance of sheets. pillows, blankets, no shortage of anything... oh and as well very very spacius rooms and bathrooms. Washer and dryer was a plus to have. The view is beautiful and just a hop skip and jump to the beach. Melissa Thank you so much for letting us stay at your amazing condo!! Chapman family :)"

Kihei Travel Tips

Kihei? is on Maui's southwest shore, with six gorgeous miles of sand and stunning natural views for as far as they eye can see. Whether you plan to spend your time swimming, kayaking, surfing or fishing, you're sure to locate a lovely spot to do so here. Keep an eye out, you just might see a humpback whale while you're lounging. There's birdwatching and hiking spots for nature lovers as well. The city experiences great trade winds, so they temperatures will be quite conducive to spending as much time outdoors as you'd like.

Things to do in Kihei

- Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale Sanctuary Visitor Center: Humpback whales are a favorite part of Kihei wildlife. The center boasts a beachfront location, so if you're in Kihei during the winter months you may even get to see some of the whales in the water! Inside you'll find both temporary and permanent exhibits teaching about marine life and the habitat including Coral Reefs and Marine Life, Maritime Heritage, Hawaiian Monk Seals, Native Hawaiian Plants, Listening for Humpback Whales, Volcanoes of the Sea, The Island of Maui and more.

Here you can build amazing sandcastles, jog along the surf, catch up on a good book, toss a Frisbee or catch a wave. Kamaole Park I is the largest, while III boasts a grassy spot perfect for picnics. When you need a break, do a little shopping at the Dolphin Center or Rainbow Mall across from Kamaole Parks I and II.

- Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge: Nature and animal lovers will appreciate a trip to the Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge, a salt marsh covering almost 700 acres that's home to at least 30 species of water birds, ducks, shorebirds and other creatures. Here you'll find the Kealia Coastal Boardwalk, which is a lovely walkway where you can enjoy the bird sanctuary and spend some time discovering the native wildlife.

- Massage Maui: Vacations are the perfect time to relax and forget about anything that's stressing you out back home. While you're in Kihei?, why not pamper yourself?. Massage Maui provides you with several options to have your achy muscles soothed, including deep tissue, sport, hot stone, Thai, reflexology and more. Allow the professionals to deepen your sense of calm and peace. For a little physical activity, the spa also offers yoga classes where you can get a great stretch and do some meditating.

Dining in Kihei

- Kihei Caffe: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you'll want a good one with all of the adventures and sightseeing you have planned. For some of the best the island has to offer, head to Kihei Caffe where you can dine on delicious eggs, bacon, gravy and biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Or, if breakfast food isn't your thing, they also offer sandwiches, burgers and salads. The casual atmosphere sets the mood for the day and makes for an excellent spot to begin the morning.

- Sarento's on the Beach: If you're looking for a nice night out that's a bit more upscale, book a reservation at Sarento's on the Beach.
