  • Active Senior on a Return Visit

"I said in my review last year that I would love to return to this cozy condo, and I was lucky enough to come back again this year! Having been here before made it much more comfortable, as everything was familiar and I knew what to expect and knew how to get around. This time, I was more adventurous in my walks and in taking the buses all around Maui. It was very windy this year, so I enjoyed the little beach and grassy park right across the street, as it was more sheltered from the wind and blowing sand than the regular beaches. I also discovered some farmers' markets with fresh fruit and vegetables within walking or busing distances. As I travelled up and down South Kihei Road, I found out that this part of Kihei is the most pleasant as it's much less crowded and busy. I love this place!"

  • Can not say enough wonderful things about this gem.

"This was our first experience booking through VRBO and it exceeded our expectations. The owners were so available and helpful to us with our stay on Maui. Their place is so thoughtfully and artfully furnished. We understood that we were guests in their beloved home. Our kids loved the bedroom in this unit and adorned the finely crafted bed frame with their stuffies. We used the boogie boards, one snorkel mask, and the beach umbrella while we were there. We ran out of sunscreen on our second to last day and there were a few bottles available left by others. The items in their utility drawer were also handy. We used the sewing kit. The neighbours were so friendly and helpful. When we arrived, one neighbour helped us find our unit and carried some of our luggage up the stairs to our door! Others offered to share their sunscreen. The building is off the main road so it is so quiet yet central to shopping, beaches and the recycling centre. The beach across the street was a favourite of ours. On the first day we saw huge whales breaching off shore. We swam with several turtles along that stretch of beach. We feel it is important to give a glowing report in honour of the owners; however, we know this means the unit may not be available when we plan to return to Maui! It really is a gem of a place. Thanks very much to J and M for their thoughtfulness."

  • Perfect in every way

"An absolute dream. Every detail described lived up to our expectations. The condo was beautiful, modern, quiet, clean and had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The realty team was very helpful throughout the entire booking processes and during our stay. They even sent us a list of activities and restaurants that they have recommended prior to our stay to help us plan our visit. The location is perfect and is in walking distance between two of the best South Maui beaches. Snorkel, boogie boards and paddle board rentals and plenty of restaurants are also in walking distance. You don't need to go far from the condo to obtain everything you need but the condo is an excellent home away from home for those long day trips if you do adventure out. Sunsets on the lanai are to die for and are not to be missed. You can also watch the Honu (Green Sea Turtles) navigate the surf right from the lanai as they feast among the rocks right in front of the condo property. The rooftop BBQ area is an awesome way to grill up your catch of the day or a delightful steak. The grills are cleaned and maintained regularly. I highly recommend this condo and plan on booking again when we return to Maui."

  • Home Sweet Home Away from Home

"My husband and I, along with our 2 boys aged 12 and 10 stayed at Maui Vista at the beginning of July. We could not have asked a more adorable "Beach House". Don and Karen were lovely to communicate with while making our reservations work around certain dates and they even accommodated a late check out for us since we had a red eye flight home. Their condo is very well kept and clean, the kitchen is stocked with everything you would ever need to prepare fabulous meals and their attention to detail in the condo is very noticeable. We loved having enough beach chairs and boogie boards for our whole family to use, and the beach right across the street was very family friendly. It was nice to have shops and restaurants within walking distance and it became a tradition each night to walk down for an ice cream to enjoy while watching the sunsets. As a family who needs to eat gluten free due to 3 of us having celiac disease we found it easy to find choices while eating out. Our two favorite restaurants in Kihei were Maui Brick Oven which is 100% GF and Sensai which is a Japanese restaurant with a sizable GF menu. The town of Lahaina had many restaurants with a large selection of gluten free options as well. The town of Kihei is located within easy access to exploring the island and we found it easy to get to all tourist locations. We would highly recommend this condo to our friends and family and hope to return to stay there again soon. Thanks Don and Karen!"
