  • this is a stupid request

"We had two problems with our stay here. One was the security person cleaning up the cans and bottles at 4am. We thought it must be a homeless person looking for cans for money and we were shocked to see the security guy out there making the noise. Second were the people up stairs They banged closet doors and all hours of the night and wore very noisy shoes back and forth early every morning. We joked that there were ghosts upstairs because the noise was really at all hour of the night. The unit was very clean and really well equiped. So nice to have frying pans that don't stick. Would probably rent this unit again"

  • Loved it!

"We really enjoyed our time at Frank's condo at Kihei Bay Surf. It's in an excellent location across the street from the beach on the dry side of the island (great weather, great beaches, no mosquitoes!) and it's close to any shopping you might need to do. We especially appreciated the kitchen amenities but most of all the beach umbrellas and beach chairs. We hope to make our trip an annual one, and we'd definitely stay here again."

  • The perfect Maui vacation condo

"We were very pleased with the condo - it was even nicer than the pictures on the website, and for the price we thought there must be a catch, but there wasn't at all! The condo was clean, nicely decorated and fully stocked - even the refrigerator had condiments and other useful items (but wasted on us since we didn't cook any meals there). The views were incredible, the grounds were beautiful (I had to be convinced that the perfect grass was real!), as was the pool, very nice, private beach that we had the beach all to ourselves, and the aromas coming from the Indian restaurant were to die for, and we appreciated the close proximity to our favorite town of Kihei for meals, snacks, coffees and shopping. The rooftop access was the topper (no pun intended!) - fully equipped with bbqs and picnic tables and incredible 360 degree views of the ocean, other islands, the volcano and surrounding hillsides. Everyone we met there (including the staff) was very friendly. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! We will definitely be returning to Menehune Shores on our next visit to Maui."

  • Centrally Located

"My son and I stayed at this condo in early June 2012. No whales then, but lots of turtles in the bay viewed from the Lanai. I really enjoyed the view of Haleakala across the water. The condo is well stocked. Do a careful inventory of condiments, spices, etc, before you go to the store, because there is a lot there already. I have been to Maui many times and really enjoyed the Maalaea location. Many of the snorkel cruises leave from the Maalaea Harbor which is only a five to ten minute walk away. Lahaina seems much closer when you don't have to drive through Kihei to get there. Opening the louvered windows in the kitchen gets a really nice breeze moving through the apartment. Very quiet and relaxing. One great activity we found there that isn't really well advertised was sailing with Paragon Sailing Charters out of Maalaea Harbor. We didn't get to snorkel, but the sailing was really fun. This condo was worth every penny. The owner communicated well and was very flexible. I would definitely stay there again."
