"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at unit 106 in the Kihei Surfside for three nights in May 2014. It was our second year in a row at this site. We really like the convenience of unit 106 being at ground level and looking out at the pool and lawn. Though not quite high enough to have a true "ocean view" from the living room once you step outside the view is great. The pool, outside activities and access to the office our just steps away. The only down side that we experienced during this stay was some early morning noise from conversations outside our bedroom windows which have to be left open at night for ventilation. We didn't have much contact with the staff as the office was closed over the three day Memorial Day Holiday. They were pleasant and helpful when we did have questions. The overall location is the best in Kihei. A gorgeous beach is steps away. The adjacent 5 Palms restaurant offers a nice happy hour and other Kihei food options are a pleasant short walk away"

  • One of the best!

"A reader must be impressed about this unit when I tell him or her that my wife, who is not easy to please, really likes it! Over the years in Maui we've stayed in a variety of places and this is one of the best quality deals of all. Reading the other current reviews informs one of the many positive qualities of the unit and also of the resort [ the office is open 24/7 and very helpful including printing flight boarding passes ]. Adding to others' comments I would mention that one doesn't need to have a rental car all the time; an efficient Maui County Bus Service has a bus-stop close to the resort entrance. Some may not be aware also that this part of Maui in Winter is the best weather. P.S. I love the second roomy bathroom and the WIFI. P.P.S. The owner, Christina, is very fair, helpful, and on the ball."

  • Excellent. Better than advertised

"We really enjoyed our stay in the condominium, everyone in the family wishes we we still there. We did not spend a lot of time in the condo, we were out most of the day on most days but did come back for dinner and relaxing in the evenings. The pictures represent the condo well, I would say it felt more comfortable than you can sense in a picture though. We really felt at home coming back in the evenings. It does get warm when you leave for the day with the doors closed but we found that it cooled off nicely when we got back and opened all of the patio doors, there was always a decent breeze which would blow right through and keep the condo comfortable. We liked the location of the condo. Close to the beach, an easy walk but we did not spend a lot of time at that beach. We did do some surfing there, good waves for learning. Our favorite beach was Makena beach which is about 15 minutes away in a car. There is great snorkeling at Maluaka beach which is 10 minutes away, I was swimming with sea turtles literally two feet away from me. We will most certainly be looking to stay here again on the next trip to Maui. Positives: * Very well stocked, especially the kitchen. I was honestly very surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was, no matter what we decided to cook the necessary tools, pots and pans were there. Much better than most condos. * Comfortable. Everyone slept well, beds were just the right firmness. Living room was nice to relax in. Was nice having Netflix available. * Clean. * Owners were very nice to deal with. No problems with any part of the transaction, they answered our questions promptly and very helpful. * Nice site facilities The pool is close, clean and warm. Tennis courts are well maintained. Grounds are nice. * Close to the beach. * Close to restaurants. Things to consider: * The condo is up a flight of stairs. Not a problem for us but would be a concern if you have difficulty with stairs. * You will probably want a car. That is true for a lot of places (probably most in my opinion) in Maui. We liked the location but I think it would have been difficult without a car."

  • Great house, Great location, Super owners!

"We had 6 people staying here. The owners are great to work with and helpful. It is located 100 feet from a very nice area in Kihei/Sugar Beach. Very convenient to the airport (15 mins) and to a multitude of restaurants, activities. Recommend Scuba Shack for diving and snorkel trips. Eat breakfast at Kihei Cafe. Charming area."
