The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Just returned home to a gray London, the weather described on local radio as "autumnal" - it is 27th July. We stayed in Makena Surf from 10th July through 26th July. The weather was unseasonably hot, apparently, but it was absolutely perfect for our taste. From first impression to last, B-204 lived up to its billing. The view is fabulous, the sound of the ocean memorizing. The condo was clean and every need catered for in terms of equipment. Most of our time was spent out of the condo, but when we were around we wanted for nothing. The snorkeling just on the lava outcrop to the left of the beach was described by a tour guide as some of the best snorkeling on the island and having seen numerous turtles, coronet fish, a lobster, various tangs and four white tipped sharks during our stay I cannot disagree. The aircon stopped working once whilst there, but it was fixed within 30 minutes of a call. The only (miniscule) negative comment I can make is that the lighting in the bedroom was too dark. That is it. I cannot find any fault otherwise. A fabulous property and well worth the cost. I thoroughly recommend it."

"Having a trouble finding Hawaii in Maui? Squinting too hard at the landscape to replace the feeling that the OC has colonized your favorite spots along the shore? Then stay here--an old-school haven right on the rocks at "Turtle Town"--at a comfortable home still run by the ohana tied to the history of Makena Landing.
Tropical greenery shields the site from more modern developments, allowing you to absorb the special vibe of something very Hawaiian: the unity of land and sea, nature and humankind; the practical and the spiritual. Wake to the cool stillness of dawn; walk across your front lawn to sit on the oceanside terrace, feet from the water. Watch the day begin along the intimate coastline and gaze to Molokini and Kaho'olawe in your view. Explore the activities and attractions nearby during the day--so many parks, beaches, great snorkeling spots, restaurants, and other resort amenities. Walk, following the Sunday bells, to the close-by historic Keawala'i church on the bay--"All are welcome" and the service is in Hawaiian and English. Enjoy your own awesome Maui sunset ritual outside your door on the shoreline.
Turn on the bedroom A/C for a comfortable nap or night's sleep when the trades fade in the evening. Bring the ocean view to your meals or stay-at-home activities under the fans of the large functional lanai. The room arrangements are unique; most bedrooms have their own doors to the outside top-floor landing. All have their own bathroom. Read the offerings carefully and don't expect a 5-star Wailea hotel room. Those are available by the thousand.
This is a clean comfortable getaway home with attentive genuine family managers in a spot you could only dream up."

"My husband and I along with my son and 11 year old granddaughter stayed for 8 nights in this fantastic condo. The condo itself is very nicely furnished and comfortable, especially the beds and pillows. The kitchen is well stocked with any small appliance you would need and bar ware and spices. We found the location to be absolutely perfect. It is very quiet and uncrowded (at least when we were there). The views from the lanai are incredible. You can see all the sea turtles playing and feeding in the rocks that are right in front of the condo. The beach is fantastic. When you have some surf, the boogie boarding is great (my granddaughter had a blast). And when the surf is calm, you can snorkel right from the beach and swim with the turtles. You don't even have to snorkel to see the turtles. They swim all the time right off the beach and feed off the rocks. Also, beach was NEVER crowded.Good restaurants close by in Wailea and Kihei as well as supermarkets. Loved our stay here and did not want to leave. Very beautiful and safe location. Hope we can make it back sometime."

"The condo was definitely dated but that is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. It was incredibly clean which more than made up for how dated it was. It was a very large space, more than enough for us, so you always felt relaxed. The view was incredible and it was great to be right on the ground floor, which made the lanai that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this unit."
