"We have been coming to the S Kihei/Wailea area of Maui for over 20 years. This was the first time staying at Ekahi Village. The experience was awesome from the beginning booking the rental to check out. The owner Kirk was just outstanding. He is extremely helpful and quick to respond to you via email.
LOCATION!!! Ekahi Village is a older well established condo community located ocean front on Keawakapa Beach ( swimming, snorkeling and sunsets) accessible by a meandering picturesque landscaped path or accessible by car just around the corner with parking adjacent to the beach and Ekahi's beach front pool. Enjoyed morning beach walks on the boardwalk along the Wailea Marriott, Wailea Beach, Wailea Point (one of my favorite areas with private gorgeous multi-million dollar homes amazing views !), Four Seasons Resort, and Polo Beach (another favorite of mine). Pictures, videos, post cards etc. cant even describe the amazing sights of the cliffs, miles of endless beach, tropical vegetation, crystal clear blue waters, sea-turtles, birds, geckos, and other Hawaiian nature and beauty!
Unit 45A is a lower corner unit. Kitchen is well stocked and very functional. The view from the kitchen window offers lush tropical vegetation and a view of the pool area. The dining area adjacent to the kitchen and living room which looks onto the front lanai (with a Weber grill with plenty of propane) offer a great view too. Living space is very comfortably furnished and pleasant. With 2 full bathrooms, and a full size stackable washer/dryer. The master bedroom is a good size with comfortable king size bed and 2nd lani with beautiful Hawaiian plants. Master bathroom offers a wonderful rock floor and glass wall shower and beautiful designed sink. Plenty of closet space in master bathroom. The condo is cooled by a/c unit in the master bedroom and several ceiling fans throughout. We used the a/c briefly twice to cool the bedroom. It is effective and efficient. With the windows open, blinds and shutters adjusted to keep the sun out and ceiling fans going when we were inside during the day, it was very comfortable and cool. Enjoyed our own beach here at Ekahi, Big Beach at Makena State Park (water is a little rough) and Polo Beach, snorkeling at Ahihi Natural Reserve, lava area in Makena. Lots to do and see in south Wailea area. Many great restaurants and shops in the area. Breathtaking sunsets and relaxation. Mahalo Kirk for a GREAT holiday! We'll be back!"

"It was all we could home for in a rental condo for a family of 4 plus my parents could stay there as well for a couple of days. It had 2 bed rooms and 2 full baths with a great kitchen fully stocked. We also Bar-B-Qued on the Lanai. The pool was clean and kids and I spent hours there. the place looks great. I also had really nice a beautiful walks in the morning. We could walk to the beach no problem and we did, but we had so much stuff with us that we drove to 2 different parking spots depending on which beach we wanted to go too. It is definitely close enough (around a mile each way) to great places to eat at the Shops at Wailea, or to Fred's Mexican or Moose's which is our favorite. Then you can walk back to the sunset at night.
We did choose one with Air Conditioning throughout the place and the bedrooms got really cold which is what I love. the fans are also enough most of the time as well.
My kids loved it and so did the parents. Great parking to in front of the condo and you do not have to pay "parking fees" or "resort fees". That is nice. Free wi fi as well.... and tV in 2 rooms.
We will stay here again in the future no doubt!"

"The condo was great and as advertised. Newly remodeled, with well appointed kitchen and BBQ. You are steps away from a small "quiet" pool. A bit of a hike down to the larger pool (especially with a small child), but totally doable. It's also nice that the larger pool area has fridges, so you can take down snacks and drinks for the day and keep from walking back and forth. The bed in the master was comfortable, and there is a private lanai off the master which was great for us to relax on after we put our child to bed on the sofa bed in the living room. The unit had boogie boards, beach towels, snorkel equipment, sand toys, and beach chairs, all in great condition, which made traveling with a kid great. The beach is extremely close and very nice. It would be a long walk to the Wailea shops, but it's a super fast drive. There is a Safeway not far down the freeway which I thought had pretty reasonable prices for stocking up on some meals and snacks to save $$ while in Maui. The complex was very nice and well maintained. Booking online through VRBO was challenging, but Helen was super responsive to all my questions and made sure we were all booked and ready. She even let us get into the unit early, which was great after flying 5 hours with a toddler. We are already planning another trip there with extended family, this place was a great find!"

"We stayed at this place for just over a week and really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very attentive in preparation of our trip and checked in on us while we were there which was much appreciated. The condo is located in a great location in Wailea, our favorite location in Maui. The condo lay out worked well for our family of 4, it was clean and the master bath is gigantic. However the condo was nestled somehow and protected from the trade winds which was disappointing because it was really really really hot however there is an AC unit in the master bedroom and an extra fan in the second room which helped us sleep. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of sheets and towels available for use. We also appreciated the beach chairs, boogie boards, and other items that were available for use. The condo is also very dated, the lanai furniture is old and could use an upgrade. The pool and the pool area was okay but beware the property doesn't allow alcohol in the pool area!"
