  • Best place we've ever stayed

"This by far was the most luxurious condo that we've ever rented through VRBO. The pictures actually do no do it justice. The condo is huge and has too many upgrades to mention. The kitchen is better stocked than my don't need to bring a single thing. We brought along our toddler and had him sleep in the huge walk in closet that joins to the master bathroom. There was plenty of space in there for his pack & play. The secondary bdrom is also large and the den operates as a perfect 3rd bdrm. It does take maybe 10 minutes to walk to the beach, but it's a nice walk through the property (you're not crossing big roads or anything). We didn't use the pool as much (although we could see it from the unit), but it was very nice as well. Not a "kid pool" by any means, but it's very well kept and includes a shallow area for the kids as well as a separate hot tub. Another wonderful touch was all of the little things that were included with this property, including: well stocked kitchen (seasonings, condiments, oils, coffee, oatmeal, cooking supplies, Tupperware, Ziploc bags, dish detergent, etc.) laundry room with detergent & dryer sheets, large beach towels, bathroom supplies (basic toiletries, even Q-tips!). Our 3 year old said he didn't want to go home because the condo was so much prettier than our house :) Thanks for the wonderful stay!"

  • The Best Vacation EVER!

"Susan, Just wanted to email you and tell you what a FANTASTIC trip we had to Maui. Your home is beyond beautiful and we wanted for nothing. The decor is amazing and pictures do not do justice to the wonderful ocean view. We spent every night on the lanai barbecuing and spending quality time together. The kitchen is jaw dropping plus every single utensil/dish was supplied for us! My 4 year old daughter came home and told me "mommy, I want the Hawaii home in our home." The walk to the beach involved a lot of stairs but was scenic nonetheless (felt like we were walking through a tropical forest). The attendants on the beach were fantastic setting up our chairs and umbrellas, the toys were abundant. The best thing of all was the fact that the shops are a 2 minute walk from the home - wow! Your home *made *our trip! Thanks for the lovely welcoming basket on our arrival as well! You have spoiled any other location for us :) We will definitely be returning! I can see why you have such high/great reviews online."

  • Awesome Wailea Beach Unit

"I have nothing but great things to say about our stay at the Wailea Beach Villas. This is a beautiful and spacious 3 bedroom penthouse unit with its own private entrance and spectacular ocean view. The interior seems brand new and is full of modern amenities. The property is very nice and the pools are warm and uncrowded. And you are only a few minute walk to the beach or to shops and restaurants. You could spend your entire trip in Wailea but do head out to Kihei and check out some of the local spots for food. We recommend Kihei Cafe for breakfast, Coconuts for lunch and Sansei for sushi."

  • Wonderful Week in Maui!

"Our family stayed in Chelsea's condo for 8 nights and it was perfect! We have 3 children (ages 9, 7 & 3). It was so wonderful to have our own space and not be cramped in a hotel room. My husband and I have stayed next door at the Grand Wailea before and knew it would not work with 3 kids. The condo is even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures. We LOVED the large lanai that provided beautiful views of the ocean and WBV property. We only ate out 2 nights because the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the grill on the lanai was awesome. Our family loved spending time on the beautiful beach and in the family pool. You can join the activity club at the stand by the Grand Wailea and rent paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling gear (all of which my kids loved). The WBV staff were friendly and helpful. Chelsea was great to work with and very responsive. We had the perfect relaxing vacation and can't wait to go back next year!"

Wailea Beach Villas Travel Tips

Whale Watching with Wailea Beach Villas Vacation Rentals

Every winter, humpback whales migrate to the Hawaiian Islands from the polar regions for mating season. The crystal clear waters allow visitors to watch the animals, even if they're hundreds of feet below the surface of the ocean. Wailea Beach Villas vacation rentals allow you to see this sight by giving you an economical means of staying in at Wailea Beach Villas condos; a vacation rental is a deal in which a property owner rents his property to a tourist. This allows you to stay in someone's house or condo instead of a hotel. More beds are available for a party to split the costs, and you can cook and eat in someone's kitchen instead of a restaurant.

Other Things to Do in South Maui

Whale watching is in the winter season, which is traditionally the off season for Hawaiian tourism, so rates on South Maui beach rentals are usually much cheaper. But if whale watching isn't your thing, you can learn to scuba dive, go snorkeling (without need of classes or a license) over the incredible coral reefs, or do what is not only free, but possibly the best way to relax: sit back on a white sand beach, catch a tan, and watch the sunset.

Ecotourism in Maui

Ecotourism is quickly becoming a key draw for Maui, since the island is in such immaculate shape, and holds such an incredible diversity of ecologies, from volcanic rims at 10,000 feet above the ocean, to rainforests, to coral reefs, and the deep ocean where the humpback whales can be viewed. The whale watching tours are also educational, with wildlife experts giving lessons about the whales and their habitats during the trips to and from the viewing locations. The volcanoes can be toured on foot, if the state parks are open duing periods of inactivity, or by helicopter for a view straight into the interior of the earth.
