  • Lovely cottage with easy access to volcano and Pa'ia. Come and stay a while.

"We just stayed at this lovely, roomy, tastefully decorated and very clean cottage. John and Maggie were very welcoming and had placed some fresh flowers and fruits in the house for our arrival. Later we found a gift of bananas by the door upon returning from a day trip. Our son loved the big tub of beach toys that he could choose from and entertained himself with those both on and off the beach. There are several beaches at close driving distance, including a "baby beach" (exit highway 36 at Nonohe Pl) that is protected from large waves. There was also a varied selection of movies that included kid friendly ones for us to enjoy. We loved driving all the pretty roads around Ha'iku when we went on our day trips and discovered yet a different side of Maui after staying in Hana and Napili. We explored the Haleakala Crater from this cottage and found the drive there easy. As a bonus, we had a nice unclouded view of the volcano on most evenings. A perfect spot for those who want to get away from the resort crowd. John and Maggie, thanks for a wonderful stay!"

  • Upcountry seclusion

"Our family of 5 (two adults and children 12,12,14) enjoyed the rustic seclusion and the accommodations of the cottage. It had all amenities we needed including washer and dryer (no charge). Local grocery is nearby and plenty of local eating establishments can be explored. No pool or AC but the breeze thru open windows made it comfortable and beaches are a short drive away. In fact, everything we wanted to do in the up country was within a short drive. The owner's son Mark (and family) stopped by and provided a background of the Cannery history and local places to see. There are several fruit trees on the property which we enjoyed. No TV? However, free Wifi was available so the kids and parents still stayed connected. One bathroom was a bit of a challenge but we worked thru it! Lots of space on the grounds to let the kids explore and expend energy. The cottage is a very good value if you desire a quiet retreat after a long day of sightseeing."

  • house of Bliss, Lives up to it's name!!!

"We wanted a SPECIAL place to enjoy a family celebration of family retirements, and reunions... We found it, and MORE....much more!!! The photos found here on line are exactly what you find on arrival!!! But photos can't convey the awesome feeling upon seeing it for the first time!!!! The house was filled with the aroma of fresh cut flower arrangements in beautiful vases, the lights were at a romantic level with lovely soft Hawaiian music playing throughout. I think I mentioned to my husband "I've died and gone to Heaven".... I cannot say enough about this home....A holiday is what you make it, for the most part....but I say accommodation as BLISSFUL as this, truly adds so much calm, to an already super amazing holiday in Maui!!!! The kitchen is spectacular, and we cooked all of our meals during our MONTH LONG STAY!!! We were a party of 8 seniors, who had an amazing time in this spacious home. The herb garden was a fantastic asset when cooking our meals...The fruit trees, a scrumptious addition each day for breakfast, and picnics. The bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable...lots of linens and towels. We enjoyed the grounds, the pool, hot tub and sauna...after full days of touring and sightseeing, and beaching...this was an absolute joyful home to come back to unwind, relax, and recap our days with our family......so much fun!!! So many amazing memories to cherish!!!!"

  • Wonderful Estate for a Family Vacation

"What a wonderful treat this property has been, especially for those of us enjoying our first Hawaiian experience. We had a large family group consisting of 3 generations, yet the house offers privacy, ample space and a variety of options for all. In addition to day trips to Molokini, Lahaina, the Aquarium, horseback riding ..., we’ve enjoyed watching the World Cup, playing cards, cooking together, dining on the Lanai, as well as using the awesome pool & Jacuzzi. The garden surrounding the pool area is open enough for activities and perfectly landscaped with a view of the canyon down to the ocean. It’s been such a fun and relaxing time, just enjoying the views, ocean breezes and each other’s company. We found that the house has all amenities and items needed aplenty and in great working order. Alain & Elisabeth have been helpful & gracious hosts before and throughout our stay. We very much appreciated them taking their time to share their knowledge and the blessings of this plantation with us. Paia & Haiku offer some of the most delightful eateries on the island. Just ask Alain for suggestions. “Das Maui Pole Haus & besonders der Garten sind paradiesisch schoen! Wir durften eine supergute Zeit geniessen!” Mahalo, Thank you & Dankeschoen and hopefully “Auf Wiedersehen!!!”"
