  • Dreamvacation

"Thank you Danielle and Gregg for this wonderful place. It's named Dream Cottage rightly, because it really is. We felt always like home, like staying with friends. The Cottage has got all you need and even more. Great garden with lots of fruits and flowers, clean and nice rooms with a great Hawaiian flair. to sad we had to leave after quite a while. The kids loved the bedroom with the separate door but also the window inside to the kitchen. They said its a place to stay forever. Mahalo a nui loa. F&S and the kids"

  • Upcountry seclusion

"Our family of 5 (two adults and children 12,12,14) enjoyed the rustic seclusion and the accommodations of the cottage. It had all amenities we needed including washer and dryer (no charge). Local grocery is nearby and plenty of local eating establishments can be explored. No pool or AC but the breeze thru open windows made it comfortable and beaches are a short drive away. In fact, everything we wanted to do in the up country was within a short drive. The owner's son Mark (and family) stopped by and provided a background of the Cannery history and local places to see. There are several fruit trees on the property which we enjoyed. No TV? However, free Wifi was available so the kids and parents still stayed connected. One bathroom was a bit of a challenge but we worked thru it! Lots of space on the grounds to let the kids explore and expend energy. The cottage is a very good value if you desire a quiet retreat after a long day of sightseeing."

  • love being there!

"For those of you out there interested in some feedback..... What restful and rejuvenating time it was being there with my wife and some friends. We'll be back. This is a beautiful place to getaway and would be a most excellent place for a retreat or family/friend gathering. The owners, Mark and Cher, are gracious and warm welcoming hosts and easily move with the flow. I especially loved the ocean cove there and watching the humpbacks breaching. Magical........."

  • What a wonderful amazing house!

"We just arrived home from 3 truly wonderful weeks staying at Arturo's house in Haiku. The house is everything described in the add an more. It has a really good location in a quiet neighborhood in lower Haiku with stunning ocean and west Maui mountain views. If you are looking for a different holiday, away from the tourist mill in south and west Maui, this is the place for you. It is close to the restaurants and cafe's in Haiku, mainly used by the locals, you have a nice view of Ho'okpia down below so you can almost check out the wind and waves from the patio and it is only 10min drive to Paia, with it's many great restaurants, friendly people and small boutiques. Arturo as a landlord is great! He popped in to say hi and tell us about the house, and he left fresh fruits from the garden on our patio regularly. At the same time he gave us full privacy but was still available if we had any queries. The house is very well maintained and fully stocked with towels, sheets, pots and pans, kitchen supplies, laundry facilities etc. It did not at all feel like a rental house, more like a proper home. The pictures does not give the house enough justice. It is even nicer than it looks! The patio and outdoor areas are great and really private. The living room and kitchen is huge, with tv, satellite and internet. We did miss a little bit more comfy furniture to relax in though. Specially outside would have been amazing with some hammocks or comfortable lounging chairs. The two bedreooms are large, bright and airy. The main bedrooms got an en-suite bathroom and a walk in closet and a separate door out to an amazing outdoor shower between banana plants and lovely smelling flowers. Bathroom nr 2 is just next to the second bathroom, so it almost feels like another en-suite. The beds are really big, comfy and soft with fans above them to keep the room cool. I would recommend anyone to stay at Arturo's house. We will most certainly come back if we get the chance to visit Maui again!"
