  • Wonderful place

"We needed a place to stay in a pinch while my father recovered from an emergency surgery while on vacation in Maui. Tom went above and beyond to help us during what was a challenging time for our family. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was neatly decorated, clean and comfortable- just what our family needed. I would recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists."

  • Perfect Week in Paradise

"We all visited at Christmas ....Two sets of grandparents, one set of parents, and a six month old baby. We couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. The Pole House is perfect for couples or families. There is a magnificent living room which more than accommodated all of us. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the wonderful Kona wood kitchen and eating either in the beautiful dining room or out on the deck. We eenjoyed the house so much we didn't feel a need to eat out often. The hot tub and pool allowed for great relaxation time with the baby. We loved the outdoor speakers for music and the torches in the evenings just added to the ambiance. The house and grounds are very private and gorgeous. It's the perfect place for taking morning walks through the grounds.... We can't wait to return! Alain and Elizabeth are the ultimate hosts...they are there if they are needed and very forthcoming with good advice any tourist advice. Mahalo for a fantastic Christmas vacation!"

  • Ideal Home Base

"We stayed a week in Colin & Lyn's sweet studio and had everything we needed to explore Maui. Comfortable, clean and well appointed - we especially appreciated the considerate extras: boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear - even camping gear for an overnight to Hana. Mornings in their little garden were a peaceful way to start each day out of the bustle of town. Colin & Lyn are gracious and generous hosts and super knowledgeable about island adventuring and nearby Paia Town was a gem for restaurants, shops and entertainment. Great beaches within a short drive as well. We look forward to our next stay!"

  • Special and amazing

"I am so glad I found John and Maggie's wonderful little getaway! Tucked away in Haiku hides a beautiful detached house with everything you could possibly need. The mountain views from the house were beautiful and the property was perfect as well. There's a gate as soon as you come up to the property, which gives you a little peace of mind. The nights are cooler which was the best possible scenario we could have asked for with our long days adventuring at the hot beach. Haiku is such a lovely little town too, the taco stand was killer and the grocery store is great for picking up odds and ends. So so glad we decided to stay in the North instead of anywhere else on the island. The vibe is much more relaxed. Paia is such a short drive away, great restaurants etc. We will be returning to Maui and we will definitely stay with John and Maggie again. 5 stars! And Trouble the cat is too sweet!"
