"I am so glad I found John and Maggie's wonderful little getaway! Tucked away in Haiku hides a beautiful detached house with everything you could possibly need. The mountain views from the house were beautiful and the property was perfect as well. There's a gate as soon as you come up to the property, which gives you a little peace of mind. The nights are cooler which was the best possible scenario we could have asked for with our long days adventuring at the hot beach. Haiku is such a lovely little town too, the taco stand was killer and the grocery store is great for picking up odds and ends. So so glad we decided to stay in the North instead of anywhere else on the island. The vibe is much more relaxed. Paia is such a short drive away, great restaurants etc. We will be returning to Maui and we will definitely stay with John and Maggie again. 5 stars! And Trouble the cat is too sweet!"

"This was our second stay at Maui Tradewinds, and our first stay in the StarWind Cottage. The Cottage provides every creature comfort imaginable: ample space, a fully functional kitchen, a hot tub on a giant deck, quietude, privacy, stunning vistas from every room, and the music of tropical birds inhabiting the lush gardens surrounding the cottage. Bev’s touch is visible everywhere: giant flower arrangements adorn the living space, a bowl of tropical fruit and little chocolate treats on the dining table make one’s mouth water, and the fridge and kitchen counter are stocked with staples and yummy breakfast cereals and pancake mixes.
We truly relished every minute of our stay at the StarWind Cottage. We had long breakfasts and lazy mornings, then went exploring the island, and returned to relaxing evenings with good food, rousing Yahtzee games, and long soaks in the hot tub under a starlit sky.
Bev and David are the perfect hosts. When we arrived, Bev showed us around the Cottage and explained every feature of it. After the initial meeting and greeting, both Bev and David became invisible, making us feel as if we were the only people on the entire property. We are already looking forward to going back and being again pampered in paradise."

"We absolutely enjoyed the Pole House with our two grandchildren, daughter and son in law along with a old time friends. We all enjoyed this home so much that we did not feel the need to leave the property. Alain and Elisabeth were the perfect hosts. They gave constant good advise and helped entertain the grandchildren with climbing a palm tree for coconuts. A new and exciting experience for everyone. We will return some day without a doubt. This is a perfect residence for a family holiday. The grounds, pool and hot tub were perfect and used often by all. This property is appropriate for anyone seeking a beautiful and quiet retreat. I would recommend this site to anyone or all ages. A special thanks to Alain and Elisabeth for their kindness and great input on local activities. I am sharing our experience showing photos to local friends who have already shown an interest in having a similar experience. This is paradise. In addition we experience excellent restaurants in Haiku small and family operated but excellent food and service. We enjoyed one dinner at Mama's sea food restaurant. Expensive but worth it. This has been the best holiday ever. Mahalo - Alain and Elisabeth"

"My wife and I absolutely loved our time in Haiku, at Holly's home! It was just perfect for us. It felt like home, was very private, quiet, and centrally located. I would recommend this place to anyone that is trying to find a little more privacy and wants more of a local feel. Everything was 10-15 mins away and easy to get to."
