  • Excellent Cottage

"We spent nine nights at this wonderful cottage. Every day we went exploring a different part of the island, thanks to the central location. The cottage with its private yard, is well kept and very pleasant. The cottage is small, clean, and well equipped. The beds and linens were wonderful. The yard has a BBQ and table with chairs that we used most evenings to have dinner and relax as the sun set. There were a few beach chairs and boogie boards for use, but we had already purchased some before we got there, so we left two nice boogie boards for future guests. Having beach towels available would have been great though. We enjoyed everything about this place. Michael was very pleasant to deal with. We would love to stay there again."

  • Aloha Cottage surpassed our expectations!

"We loved, loved, loved the Aloha Cottage. It so surpassed our expectations, even though I had read every review and studied every picture on the web. Every need had been anticipated and the kind folks at Maui Vacation Properties went above and beyond to see that our vacation was perfect. We have been coming to Maui for over 20 years and always felt Napili Kai was our only heaven on earth. Now we wouldn't think of coming to Maui without starting our vacation at the Aloha Cottage. Thank you so much for sharing this blessing with us."

  • Cozy Jungle Treehouse

"The cottage is exactly like it is described here. Very comfortable bed and linens and fresh smelling towels. This may sound odd to comment on, but when you're in a very humid environment, linens and towels can smell icky if not freshly laundered. These were great! They even provided a cooler and frozen gel-blocks to keep your water and picnic meals cool as you explore the area. The lanai is very spacious with a beautiful view of the water in the distance. Fresh flowers on the lanai and inside were a particularly sweet touch. The only reason I didn't give it more Stars was because there was no bath soap provided (which I've always found in other VRBO homes). At night, the jungle comes alive with all the sounds, chirps, and rain showers. This also means those creepy crawlers like to come out on the kitchen counter too. Some were airborne so at night I had to deal with those while trying to sleep. In the morning don't be surprised by the handiwork of the spiders with their brilliant webs (inside too). Watch where you're walking on the lanai so you don't find yourself covered in the web! It's the nature of being in nature, so just know that going in and it'll be OK."

  • Rad. Enough said.

"As I write this, I am still here in Nessie's Place, but I just have to review about what a great stay it's been. Loch, the owner is a fantastic soul with a knack for making you feel really at home, and setting up Nessie's place to feel like your home on Maui. The beds are comfy, the crosswinds through the big spacious windows is cool and tranquil, and everyone has plenty of space to hang out or to rest a part from all the fun things to do in Maui. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need to prepare a luscious Hawaiian dinner and Mana Foods, the world's best natural food market is just down the street for all your grocery shopping pleasures! The showers work great, washer and dryer on site, free fast Wi-Fi (although you will only need it to upload all your pics from your amazing day on the beach), and located conveniently to EVERYTHING. Loch lives on sight and is easy to get a hold of if you need anything, and since he is a local, he knows all the answers to any of your questions while you vacation. My girlfriends and I highly want to recommend this special space to you, as you will not be dissapointed, but will want to come back to Nessie's again and again! Some other tips for your trip: Shop at Mana and get stuff for breakfast, and save money eating out at lunch and dinner. Be sure to go to Cafe De Amis for crepes and Tahitian Poisson Cru. Be sure to go to Flatbread for Gluten-free pizza with local ingredients. Visit Haiku just up the road for some Maui Kombucha and Hawaiian Toast...don't ask, just get it and you will adore it. Take a day and spend it at Makena beach but watch for "the vortex". You'll know what I mean when you have no trouble getting into the ocean, but watch your friends laugh at you as you try to get out. Contact Miranda of Maui Mana Adventures for the SUP adventure of a lifetime. I paddled with whales, you could too! Best money you will ever spend. Period. After you visit Makena, eat at Pita Paradise in Wailea. They bring fresh Big Eye Ahi Tuna in that day and slice it up. I've never had fish so fresh! That's it! You will love Nessie's Place, and you will love Maui. Tell Loch "the mermaid" sent you!;)"
