"If you want to get a sense of living in Maui, then renting a condo like this one is a way to go.
It is very affordable and well equipped. We didn't feel like we were missing anything. Yes, it tends to get noisy with the traffic but honestly , it didn't bother me at all as I could also hear birds in the morning and crickets at night.
The condo is literally few minutes away from the beach ! At night we could hear waves crashing on the shore.
The condo is very close to all the shops that are located in Paia which is 3 min drive and only 8 min drive to my favorite beach 'Baldwin Park'
Overall we had a great time :)
Thank you Paula

"My husband and I stayed three nights here for our honeymoon in Maui- while the trip to get to the cottage was a long one (you have to take the road to Hana- 50ish miles up a windy road through the rain forest!) it was well worth it! The drive alone was an excursion with beautiful scenery and little fruit stands and stops along the way. The cottage was located in the midst of beautiful trees and tropical flowers and we enjoyed evenings with wine in the hot tub! Be sure to bring your own groceries and plan on making meals for yourself as the town of Hana does not have reliable restaurant/food truck open times, but definitely an incredible getaway and lovely place to call your home away from home!"

"I have been to Maui several times in the past and convinced my partner and another couple to come. From the start, dealing with Sharyn was a pleasure! Huelo Point Lookout is more than we had expected. The photos do not do it justice! The directions may seem a bit daunting, but rest assured, as soon as you make the drive once, you are set! We were greeted with some Welcome treats at the house, and were quick to meet with Sharyn. We found ourselves not wanting to leave our little paradise for fear of the 'outside world'. Though, when we did, we discovered the Twin Falls, and several other little gems which were a short drive away. We did have a little Wasp issue, but that was quickly resloved by Sharyn who handled them like a pro! The ONLY downfall (if you could even call it that) of being on this side of the Island, is that the trade winds are quite strong, and can feel like you're going to be blown over on some days. When that happens, hop in the car, and take a trip to Lahaina!
From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank Sharyn for opening up her home to us Crazy Canadians ;)
We hope to see you again next year!!!"

"I spent the first two nights of my Maui vacation in the Surf Shack and it was a great way to start the week. It's as cute in person as in the pictures. While all my friends on the mainland were freaking out about the super moon eclipse I took a walk to Kuau cover (next to Mama's) for a pre-dinner dip since Hawaii was out of range for lunar viewing. I think I won with my choice. The bed was comfy, the outdoor shower was really great and the hosts are both lovely people. You're just a few minutes from Paia town for a great breakfast and can get a jump start on the Road to Hana if that's in your plans. Very happy I started Maui with a stop here."
