  • Love Koali Ranch

"I have been staying at Koali Ranch for nearly 15 years. As a resident of Maui, there is no place we would rather stay in Hana!"

  • A delightful spot! We'll be back :)

"We had a lovely one-week stay in this cottage in early September. What a view! I wish we’d had another week to enjoy all the stunning sunsets from the chalet deck. The cottage is lovely – simple and really clean, and exactly as it looks in the photos. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are plenty of fresh towels, laundry facilities and every extra thing you might need. This was a great spot for an early start to see the sunrise from Haleakalea, and there were even some warm jackets we could borrow for the adventure. We also took a ‘plate to table’ tour at O’o farm, which is just down the road, and can’t recommend it highly enough. Wilma is very helpful and we really hope we’ll be back again. Bring all your food, wine and whatever you might need for your stay – you won’t want to leave!"

  • Homey

"My daughter, 3 teenagers & I stayed for 7 days here. It was not hard to find with a GPS.the road to the property is very windy with many turns & speed bumps. Property is attractive with a lived in look. The boys used the pool once during the evening. There are goats, cows, and chickens in the pasture next door. They moo, baaa, and crow quite a bit. Did not bother us, we just did the same right back at them! Lol! We did have a mouse in the house with us and killed several large roaches, but we heard bugs is a big problem on the island. Roaches are everywhere, no problem. House was stocked pretty good with everything needed to cook but would add a 2qt pan. We explored the whole island, enjoyed the beaches over at wailea, pain, and lahainia. Went to makawao to Komados bakery....yum! Did the trip to Hana on tour bus. Went snorkeling to molokini and swam with sea turtles. Food land in pukalani is very expensive. Kahului has a walmart (not super store) and a costco. Would rent this house again!"

  • Great spot to get away from it all!

"This is a sweet little cottage for a get away from the hustle and bustle of the world. It is located down a one lane road- so if possible arrive before dark. It was a small challenge to find in the dusk with the evening fog rolling in. The cottage is interesting in the fact that the one double bed is attached to the living space. If you ran not very agile it might be a challenge to climb in the bed but the clime is worth it- the bed is surrounded by windows- you almost feel like you are sleeping outside!!! There is a separate bedroom that you have to go outside to enter. There are bathrooms with showers in both rooms. The kitchen is stocked very nicely with most any tool, pot or pan you might need to cook. The caretakers are present but certainly not intrusive. The drive to Haleakala summit is about a one hour drive so you could plan to see the sunrise or do some hiking there- both great adventures."
