"Very clean and well maintained place with a well appointed kitchen, nice deck with a large gas grill and a great view of the sunset and the coast down below. This house sits in a quiet neighborhood away from traffic, but still fairly close to Haleakala National Park, shopping, the airport and beaches."

"Upon our arrival, our first reaction was to the magnificent view looking out toward the valley and east Maui - just stunning. The cottage was clean and comfortable and well maintained, with a very well-stocked kitchen. We ate all of our breakfasts there during our stay. The owners provided anything we could want for our daily excursions, including beach towels, a beach umbrella, and beach chairs.
Being close to Makawao had its advantages for dining purposes and for art gallery browsing. One of our favorite places for dinner was the Hali'imaile General Store. Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere.
Nearby is the Waihou Spring Forest Reserve, where we enjoyed an easy hike through the woods.
The Romantic Cottage enabled us to escape from the usual beach crowds and enjoy a wonderfully relaxing stay in a peaceful and beautiful setting. There is nothing like waking up to birds chirping, chickens clucking, and cows mooing. We would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed in the Octagon Studio. This place was everything you can ever imagine. I felt honored about how great of a choice we made, especially after speaking to people on the island who stayed in the "regular" hotels/resorts. Initially upon arriving, we kept hearing "Makawao? You are staying where? You have a hotel in Makawao? Apparently because this side of town is considered "Upcountry" and its on a totally different side than the "Hotel Zone." Let me give you a rundown of our experience. Just as I mentioned, this here place is on a different side of town so I would just be very cognizant of the activities you plan and their location. A prime example is activities in Lahaina. This is in Maui but it is literally an hour away. We only went there twice for the mall (to walk the strip) which you only need to do once, and for a cruise. I would make that trip on that side of town five more times and still wouldn't change my mind about where we stayed. There are also tons of places in the area which are close as well. There is a long winding road before you get to the Aromatherapy Foundation that took 7 minutes to drive up alone. Once you get there you feel like you are in your own little town. The studio itself was on a property with two other buildings but it surely didn't feel like it. We felt as if we were completely alone. A beautiful ambiance. Not to mention the continuous aromatic smells. We were also so high up that we could see two sides of the island as we stood outside of our studio. Something that obviously can’t be changed would probably be preferred is a ramp. We had a bit of a hard time getting our bags up and down those stairs. I could also imaging how tough it would be for someone who is in a wheel chair. Though we were able to manage all the steps. Just a thought, not a downfall. I had a great concern before coming about the size of the studio. Super concerned that it would be too small. . . . I was wrong. It was perfect. Everything was so clean. The shower gave you that perfect feeling. Even though you were inside, you could keep the curtain open and see the trees, the flowers and watch the sunrise. The bed must have been made out of cotton, because it was softer than soft. The mini porch balcony overlooking the garden was definitely used. It was so calm and peaceful. The only thing I would recommend is a microwave. I must be programmed with this new generation, but I sure would have enjoyed being able to warm up my food from "Da Kitchen.""

"just a note to say that Aloha Cottage exceeded our expectations! We were very happy with it, especially the privacy, peacefulness and thought that went into this place.
Thanks for making everything run smoothly"
