"We have made several day trips to Hana over the years, but this was the 1st time we stayed for a few nights. We were able to enjoy things we didn’t have time to do before. This cottage is lovely, filled with natural light and has gorgeous views of the grounds and ocean. The owners have decorated it beautifully and tucked flowers and greens here and there. Sitting on the private deck at night, looking up at the stars was a real treat we don’t get at home with city lights. We had everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful few days in Hana. Sam & Mercury, thanks for sharing your place, and those yummy oranges, with us."

"This cottage was absolutely perfect: comfy, beautiful and with all the amenities you might need! We were coming from Oahu to escape the crowds and heat for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute at the cabin and in the Kula area. The entrance is beautiful with lush flowers, landscaping and wildlife (we saw ring neck pheasants and Jackson chameleons while there). The wood inside and out of the cabin really adds to the warm and cozy feel of the place. The inside is very comfortable, especially with the nice bed, duvet and linens. We felt thoroughly rested and refreshed staying here. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking meals including an electric infrared grill on the lanai that we used for cooking some yummy Maui Cattle Company grass fed steaks! There were also a few good places to eat nearby that we enjoyed. Just relaxing at the cabin was a treat with plenty to entertain you if you chose to stay there all day including free wifi, some fun movies (we enjoyed watching Some Like It Hot upstairs in the loft) and board games (we enjoyed a couple of games of Scrabble). The views from the living area, lanai, loft and driveway were even better than the pictures! Sometimes we were in the clouds, but they always cleared out to reveal breathtaking views. The cabin is conveniently located to all of the Kula attractions including the ones we visited (lavender farms, Ocean Vodka Distillery, the winery, Surfing Goat Dairy, an organic farm and a couple of art galleries). We had spent a few days prior to our stay at the cabin backcountry hiking and camping at Haleakala National Park and finished our trip with a few days at this beautiful Chalet and it exceeded our expectations in every way! If we ever get the chance to come to Maui again we will definitely choose to stay here again! Thank you Wilma for your hospitality!"

"Nessie's House is a very spacious and neat place to stay. It is quiet at night and very relaxing. Minutes away from Paia town, restaurants and shopping. You will experience what is like to live as a local.
Mike was very helpful and friendly. If you need to know everything you need to know about Paia and Maui in general, don't hesitate to ask him. We even got some greens from his garden.
This place is very nice, affordable, and I definitively recommend it for everyone who wants a different experience from hotel resorts, or want save some money while visiting Maui."

"Condo fronts busy hana highway and looks rugged from parking lot, but the views of the neighborhood from the lanai transport you to a tropical paradise. The condo itself has had recent upgrades and was clean. The fans were great! The bed was super soft and probably should be replaced soon. The small sofa sleeper has stained cushions and also could be updated by possibly replacing it with a fold out futon. Location was fantastic for our 2 night stay. Having both the beach and kuau store within walking distance added to the convenience. We also enjoyed the ease of dining and shopping in haiku and paia. Our stay was a last minute request and the owner was very quick with response."
