  • Perfect

"Highlight of our entire Hawaii vacation! Cannot put into words how beautiful and perfect this place is. Fresh fruit at your doorstep, magical experience of shower by moonlight, amazing views. Walked from the doorstep 1.5 miles to Haleakala park 1st ones there. Exactly what a"vacation" should be. Anya thought of everything. I hope life finds us with the opportunity to visit again."

  • Love Koali Ranch

"I have been staying at Koali Ranch for nearly 15 years. As a resident of Maui, there is no place we would rather stay in Hana!"

  • Excellent Stay

"We had an amazing time at the property. It was exactly as described. The property was light and airy, with plenty of space for our family of five. It was surprisingly cool for mid August, catching some shade and breeze. We particularly enjoyed the outside shower, security gate, parking, large outdoor space and BBQ area. It was quiet, despite being close to the main road. There was a amazing little deli/coffee store two minutes walk away, which we'd highly recommend - great for foodies. The property was clean and tidy. We had little contact with the owner/manager Michael, which was no problem, as we got in easily and got on with our stay in privacy. The property is in a great location for the North Shore activities, extremely close to Hookipa and a short drive from Paia. Great storage space for all your kit. It's possible to walk to a small beach from the property, but you would need to be a bit careful with the busy main Hana hwy with very young children. Mama's Fish house (pricey) is next door. We would definitely recommend it to our friends, which we will do."

  • What a place to start our honeymoon!

"We flew in from the mainland and the Octagon Studio was our first stop. What a way to begin our honeymoon...perfect! Upcountry Maui is very beautiful, lush and full of flowers!! It is cooler at night because of the elevation and as we hit a unusually cool spell we could not open the doors and windows and enjoy the open flow. Can imagine that must be amazing. We enjoyed the hottub instead and it was so relaxing! It is a small cottage but has everything you need and is as beautiful as in the pictures. VERY private!! Even if the main unit is occupied you will not feel crowded and you are tucked in your own little private corner. It is situated perfectly if you would like to explore Upcountry, Haleakala and the road to Hana. We had a enjoyed a perfect massage and the hosts are genuinely nice and caring but give you ample space and privacy. We had dinner at the Steakhouse in Makawao, very good! Thank you for making our start so beautiful and perfect!"
