"The very clean accommodations resemble a nice hostel with private rooms rather than a B&B. There is a shared kitchen and 2 showers (3rd being remodeled) and 3 toilets. Comfy beds, great wifi. Tammi and Mika are fun, generous and loving. Gorgeous land with fruit trees! Quick drive to Makawao or Paia."

"We spent 9 relaxing days at Maui By the Sea Cottage, and can't recommend it highly enough. Valerie and Craig are wonderful hosts, sharing tropical fruits from their garden and information about local events. The cottage is very comfortable and is well equipped for meals in - you'll want to take advantage of the locally grown produce and meat, as well Surfing Goat cheese and Ulupalakua wines. The view from the lanai can't be beat while enjoying Maui coffee in the morning. We enjoyed the oceanfront lawn everyday, watching the surf, turtles, and sunsets, and perfecting our relaxation skills. Thanks again, Valerie and Craig - our 25th anniversary was awesome! "We did not have great expectations as our idea was just to stay one night in Hana. The unit we rented was slightly more expensive than the price announced here, around $10 but very reasonable price vs average Hana prices.
In fact, it is like a bungalow separated in different units, ours was full equipped, kitchen, king size bed, bathroom, towels (but no Wi Fi). You're in a garden behind the main (owners) house.
It is pretty quiet and if you don't mind about the fact that you can hear your neighbours and the rooster's crow early morning, that's your place!
Beautiful garden and we were well reveived. We did like it!"

Hana Beachfront Hale provided a true Hawaiian experience!
"We just returned from celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Hana and it was just what we were hoping for. Hana Beachfront Hale provided a true Hawaiian experience because it is steps from the lovely Hana Bay, peaceful, surrounded by plants and flowers, private and quiet! The ocean facing windows with no window coverings brought the outdoors in. Yet, it was still private because of the higher elevation of the home. The wrap-around lanai with large overhanging roof allowed us to sit outside and stay dry while it rained. There were no barking dogs or crowing roosters. Just nice neighbors out for a stroll who would wave as they passed. Everyone waved to us in Hana and we felt very welcomed.
The Aloha Spirit is alive & well in Hana!
The kitchen was beautiful, modern and complete including a full-sized oven & refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave oven. Coffee maker, coffee and filters provided. Ceiling fans were in every room. The beds were very comfortable. The 2 person shower (2 shower heads) was romantic and efficient. We never turned on either of the TVs.
We were also very impressed with the communication of the property manager. Rebecca was friendly, efficient and prompt in answering our questions. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it."
