"Thank you BarbaraJoy for making our stay a memorable one. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The view, the serenity a definite plus. The drive was an adventure, day and night. We would definitely love to come back. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"Guest: Lem Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 22, 2014View listing
"What an unbelievably beautiful setting with accommodations that make you say "wow." From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home - at least how I imagine princesses feel at home. Such luxury, but at the same time totally down to earth. I've stayed in other spots on Maui which have all been great, but this was by far the best experience I've had on the island. It is truly the tropical paradise experience. It's off the beaten path, which makes it so relaxing and peaceful (and an excellent hideaway from tourist Maui) but also close enough to Paia, beaches, and of course all the adventures on the road to Hana. Throw in the most gracious hosts, a wonderful outdoor kitchen, a great pool area, charming bungalows, and the perfect yoga spot (with yoga mats provided!) overlooking the ocean and, well, it goes without saying that I will be coming back again and again (and hopefully soon!). Thank you for the ultimate vacation of relaxation!"Guest: Paige E. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: July 20, 2014View listing
"This was our second time in Maui. Our first trip there, we stayed in a resort in Wailea, thinking that - considering the price - it would be as charming as what we had imagined. This second time around, we were in desperate need of some authenticity, and this cottage was everything we hoped for! Our stay at the Maui by the Sea cottage was perfection! The cottage – which is simplistically decorated – had everything you need to prepare your own meals, which allowed us to live like locals and experience the real Paia. The property is right next to the sea and is a spot loved by sea turtles. We didn't have to go snorkeling to see them, all we had to do is eat breakfast and count them! But what we truly appreciated during our stay was our amazing hosts. Their kindness and generosity are unprecedented. Valérie had concocted us a list of great tips and places to see while in Maui, and left on a few occasions local fruit baskets on our door step for us to enjoy! We are glad we got to meet such a lovely couple. We would strongly recommend this place!"Guest: Jeremy B. Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 28, 2014View listing
"Papalani was a wonderful cottage in Hana for my wife, two daughters (7.75 and 5) and I to stay in for two nights. The location was excellent and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The natural pool a short walk away was incredible and easily the highlight of our trip to Hana. Sybil is a wonderful host and attended to our every need. We were not prepared for the downpours that are common in Hana, and she lent us umbrellas so we could get around without getting too wet. If it happens to be raining in Hana, don’t fret — you can drive further down the Hana Highway to Wailua Falls (mile marker 45) and Kipahulu, Haleakala National Park (mile marker 42). Even though it was pouring rain in Hana, it was dry just three miles down the road. We will definitely stay at Papalani the next time we return to Hana. We can’t wait to visit the natural pool again and explore even more of the area next time. Mahalo!!"Guest: merbwt Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 15, 2014View listing
