Perfect location for exploring the island
"My friend and I stayed one week at Puukoa and it had everything we needed. We spent very little time in the room and never even turned the TV on! The bathroom is huge and had two sinks and the rest of the room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and there are two balconies to enjoy. Kathy responded quickly to my inquiries through email as well. The location is perfect, right off of Hana highway and less than 10 minutes from Paia town and Hookipa beach. It's a great central location to explore the island. I'd say 45mins to 1 hour (or less) day trips to most locations. We went to Haleakala to see the sunrise, Napilli Bay, Kaanapali beach, Hana, Waianapana, Makena and more! So you will definitely need a car. There is so much to see and do on this beautiful island. I plan to come back and would definitely rent from Kathy and Rich again. Mahalo!"

"My wife and I spend a wonderfully relaxing two days at the Koali Ranch Cottage. We loved sitting on the lanai watching the ocean, and the cows and horses grazing in the fields. Kitchen and amenities were great. The cottage is small and the dining table is outdoors on the lanai. At first, we were worried about mosquitos in the evening but the citronella candle seemed to have been effective at keeping them away! The cottage is conveniently located south of Hana on the main road to the Oheo Gulch and the Pipiwai Trail but everything was quiet at night. We would definitely stay at the cottage again."

"We had such a wonderful time and Maui Tradewinds was excellent! Upon arrival there was a huge plate of fruits, plenty of things to drink, and a whole lot breakfast and snack food available. The Cottage is well done, very clean and didn't lack for amenities. The extra equipment available for the day trips such as boogie boards, beach chairs, beach mats, coolers, towels, etc. was a huge plus. We would recommend this place to anyone and will stay here again ourselves. David and Beverly are phenomenal hosts!"

"This cottage was absolutely perfect: comfy, beautiful and with all the amenities you might need! We were coming from Oahu to escape the crowds and heat for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute at the cabin and in the Kula area. The entrance is beautiful with lush flowers, landscaping and wildlife (we saw ring neck pheasants and Jackson chameleons while there). The wood inside and out of the cabin really adds to the warm and cozy feel of the place. The inside is very comfortable, especially with the nice bed, duvet and linens. We felt thoroughly rested and refreshed staying here. The cabin had everything we needed for cooking meals including an electric infrared grill on the lanai that we used for cooking some yummy Maui Cattle Company grass fed steaks! There were also a few good places to eat nearby that we enjoyed. Just relaxing at the cabin was a treat with plenty to entertain you if you chose to stay there all day including free wifi, some fun movies (we enjoyed watching Some Like It Hot upstairs in the loft) and board games (we enjoyed a couple of games of Scrabble). The views from the living area, lanai, loft and driveway were even better than the pictures! Sometimes we were in the clouds, but they always cleared out to reveal breathtaking views. The cabin is conveniently located to all of the Kula attractions including the ones we visited (lavender farms, Ocean Vodka Distillery, the winery, Surfing Goat Dairy, an organic farm and a couple of art galleries). We had spent a few days prior to our stay at the cabin backcountry hiking and camping at Haleakala National Park and finished our trip with a few days at this beautiful Chalet and it exceeded our expectations in every way! If we ever get the chance to come to Maui again we will definitely choose to stay here again! Thank you Wilma for your hospitality!"
