"This "tree house" in the midst of a. tropical garden, refreshing breezes and occasional softly falling rain is quiet and serene. Wake to the songs of Maui bird calls. Descend makai to Paia, a small, traditional villlage, "past tropical estates. Treat yourself by exploring Mana for your supplies. You can find a secluded beach by driving thru the golf neighborhood a few miles to the north or have a scenic adventure on the way south to Hana. Don't expect much there. If the Thai restaurant is closed, soon past noon, head back toward Pavia and stop at the roadside stalls....yummy! The treehouse has wrap around porches up and down. We entertained 40 for a list wedding brunch upstairs on the porch adjacent to the living area and well equipped kitchen....plenty of room and complimentts. Comfy beds and plenty of hot water! Aloha."Guest: john p. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 16, 2014View listing
"My daughter, 3 teenagers & I stayed for 7 days here. It was not hard to find with a GPS.the road to the property is very windy with many turns & speed bumps. Property is attractive with a lived in look. The boys used the pool once during the evening. There are goats, cows, and chickens in the pasture next door. They moo, baaa, and crow quite a bit. Did not bother us, we just did the same right back at them! Lol! We did have a mouse in the house with us and killed several large roaches, but we heard bugs is a big problem on the island. Roaches are everywhere, no problem. House was stocked pretty good with everything needed to cook but would add a 2qt pan. We explored the whole island, enjoyed the beaches over at wailea, pain, and lahainia. Went to makawao to Komados bakery....yum! Did the trip to Hana on tour bus. Went snorkeling to molokini and swam with sea turtles. Food land in pukalani is very expensive. Kahului has a walmart (not super store) and a costco. Would rent this house again!"Guest: JALO Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 8, 2014View listing
"Our review is essentially the same as the previous one. We saved about $200+ for one night compared to the hotels rates. Kamalei answered all of our questions and suggested activities and places to eat. The town closes early so eat before 4PM or bring your own food."Guest: Steve Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 28, 2013View listing
"This is simply paradise. Stonking good value and a lovely place to relax. This is a big house with three staying areas, although in fact, it only advertises two. Ours was the Bamboo Suite; one bedroom, which is huge. A four poster king size bed which is really comfortable. A large single, almost double bath with Jacuzzi. A separate walk in shower. A lovely kitchen lounge, dining area with a bar and stools, plus large table and chairs and couches everywhere. There is a separate toilet, and an office area too in a separate room. There are three A/C window units; two in the lounge and one in the bedroom. You have a shared patio with the other first floor people, and a separate B-B-Q grill on another small patio. There is a large cool box for you to use. A big fridge with cold iced running water and a choice of ice or crushed cubes. Two large televisions in the main bedroom and lounge areas, and can be synchronized if you wish, or used separately. The T.V cable has loads of music stations too which we enjoyed. There is free wi-fi that worked very well. Simply, we could live here, it was that good. Vicki and Tom, the owners live a few yards away and are on the spot if you need them. As you approach, don’t be put off by the drive down to the house from the road. It is quite easy to navigate! All 3 room areas share a washer and dryer, and there is an outside shower too! Vicki and Tom are lovely folks. This place is ideal to ‘do’ the whole island from. There is a great general store/gas station about 3 miles up the road. They have everything you could need including wine and spirits. It is very remote and quiet here. If you don’t wind down and relax here, you need to see a psychiatrist, and quick!"Guest: Heloise Date of Stay: May 2012 Review Submitted: May 20, 2012View listing
