  • Paradise

"We stayed in Hamoa Bay House at the end of our 20th anniversary trip and it was magical! When we returned home, I described it to everyone as having our own bungalow on Fantasy Island (showing my age ;) ) The house was beautiful. We especially loved lounging on the screened porch. The outdoor shower was a treat also! My husband planned this trip and I'm so glad he did the research and chose to stay in Hana rather than make the drive to and from in one day. It was so peaceful there and there are so many breathtaking sights to view. We were able to take our time and enjoy and not worry about driving back. This was our first time to Hawaii and I cannot wait to go back! I miss it each and every day! :)"

  • Charming place

"We had a great time here. Loved the location, and the house is such a charming place. We loved watching the turtles in the water, and even spotted a few whales off in the distance. And the views from the upstairs bedrooms can't be beat. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Paia."

  • Gangbusters! Tropical Hideout/Hangout

"The Listing description didn't include the aloha spirit that is part of Upcountry Maui. The photos reflecting the rental's appearance are right on!......Including the cat with a Namaste sign in the background. The property is clean and well maintained - gardeners and maintenance folks seemed to be always doing something helpful. There was always someone on hand to answer questions. The fun town of Paia is either 4 minutes down the hill (if you're 13 years old or 15 of you're 65). The grocery store, Mana, local eateries, the shave ice lady's place are all favorites for our family. I'd soooooo recommend this place!"

  • Great spot to get away from it all!

"This is a sweet little cottage for a get away from the hustle and bustle of the world. It is located down a one lane road- so if possible arrive before dark. It was a small challenge to find in the dusk with the evening fog rolling in. The cottage is interesting in the fact that the one double bed is attached to the living space. If you ran not very agile it might be a challenge to climb in the bed but the clime is worth it- the bed is surrounded by windows- you almost feel like you are sleeping outside!!! There is a separate bedroom that you have to go outside to enter. There are bathrooms with showers in both rooms. The kitchen is stocked very nicely with most any tool, pot or pan you might need to cook. The caretakers are present but certainly not intrusive. The drive to Haleakala summit is about a one hour drive so you could plan to see the sunrise or do some hiking there- both great adventures."
