  • Perfect second home in Honokowai

"My parents and I stayed here for 9 days. It's exactly as pictured! The condo's lanai was the best- we had every meal out there while looking out at the magnificent ocean view. We spent most of our time sitting there reading and relaxing. The bamboo floors and flat screen tv made the condo feel more modern. The wifi is fast! The beds were comfortable and the rooms were equipped with fans. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen which was equipped with basic pans and kitchen supplies. They should look into upgrading their coffee machine. The condo was equipped with beach chairs, coolers and boogie boards which made our beach trips more comfortable. The Hale Ono is centrally located in Honokowai, only a few blocks from the Farmers Market and Fish Market. We often walked there and I ran in the mornings to Napili. There is no beach access on the property but the pool and deck were sufficient when we didn't have enough time to go to the beach. It was my parents first time staying in a condo on vacation and they loved it- it truly felt like home in paradise. Lonnie was extremely helpful regarding our reservation and accessible when we had questions about the unit. One reviewer noted that the towels need to be upgraded, I agree."

  • Fun Week

"We just returned from five days in Maui, my wife and I celebrated our 33rd anniversary, we hadn't been back to Hawaii since our honeymoon. We found lots to do, snorkling at Honolua Bay, watching the sunrise at Haleakala National Park and bike ride down, beach walk at Kaanapali (resort area), visiting the town of Lahaina and having a burger at the Cool Cat Cafe. The Pikake was a fun place to stay, nightly conch blowing at sunset by the condo residence, helpful neighbors - John & Vi, a nice common yard and beach area below where sea turtles would often spend the day sunning themselves. The condo had lots of nice amenities, such as: binoculars, boogie board, all the condiments and utensils you need for cooking, Scott even provided us with beach towels - which we left for the next renters. The only drawback was the road noise from Lower Honoapiilani Rd and the construction noise from next door (I think they were digging out for a pool). Mahalo Scott and Janet for sharing your vacation home with us."

  • Pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

"Thank you Richard and Lisa for sharing your fantastic condo. We found everything to be very comfortable, clean and well cared for. The grounds and gardens were well manicured and the pool area delightful. We loved and looked forward to seeing the daily visit of sea turtles, and not many people can say they start off each morning with a beautiful rainbow. We look forward to staying again in the future........Mahalo"
