  • AMAZING 2bdrm unit with fantastic views

"What can I say, we simply loved our stay. We were a family of 6 including 2 children aged 11 and 13 yrs. The Managers were just so cool and helpful. The location is perfect and the unit was exactly as described. We had a small issue with the shower in the Master bedroom but not a biggie and I feel sure that it will be sorted by now. The unit had everything you could wish for and was roomy, even for the 6 of us. It was really clean and well maintained. Our best times were spent on the 2 lanai's, dining, watching the turtles and the amazing West Maui sunsets. the Island has plenty of fantastic beaches including our little beach just a few steps from the Condo. Also heaps of interesting locations to visit, my favourites were Haleakala Volcano (you can drive right to the 10000ft summit) and the road to Hana is not to be missed. We were so impressed with our stay and would definitely return in the future. Mahalo"

  • Excellent location, clean and quiet

"This condo was perfect for our family. My husband and I stayed with our 6 & 9 year old. It is a few doors down from the Farmers Market, which is a great health food store and Boss Frogs (rental store) It is across the street from a park with playground and mellow beach. Perfect for toddlers. The unit was very clean, comfortable beds, quiet and had all the necessary items to cook. The complex has a small pool and laundry facility. You have a small view of the water from the kitchen and living room window. The cooler/lawn chairs were such an asset for picnic lunches and plus had plenty of beach and bath towels. Only recommended for those that will have access to a car for not much else within close walking distance. However, there is a public bus stop nearby. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning to the same condo next year."

  • You'll With It Was Yours

"The condo is conveniently located in Lahaina, close to arguably the best beach in the nation, Kaanapali. And within a 10 minute drive, you can be on Front Street exploring the shops and restaurants, enjoying amazing snorkeling (I came across a stingray, among other marine life I can’t even begin to describe), golfing on a beautiful course, or even cliff diving! The condo itself has charm and is very welcoming. The comfortable living space opens to a grassy back area, equipped with a nice pool and multiple grills, that sits right on the ocean. As opposed to a resort or hotel, this condo provides a perfect intersection of vacation and feeling like a local, with all the amenities of home. It’s like having your own private corner of Shangri-La, where you can sit and watch an uninterrupted sunset - the type that can put you in a trance until it fades. The owner, Beth, is fantastic. She made the entire booking process extremely easy. Her responsiveness was much appreciated, and she also provided me with a list of great recommendations for my stay! It was definitely one of my more memorable vacations. Staying here on my next visit is a no-brainer."

Honokowai Travel Tips

Affordable Tropical Vacations in Honokowai Vacation Rentals

How can you stay in one of the world's most beautiful tropical locations at an affordable rate? By using Vacation Rentals by Owner. This allows vacationers to experience West Maui through Honokowai condos; you rent a person's private residence to stay in for your trip. While you're there, you can sometimes get lower rates than a hotel, you can put more people in one place - dividing up the cost. And you can use a full kitchen to cook healthy, affordable meals using local fare, instead of patronizing restaurants. Honokowai vacation rentals are a good ticket to an unforgetable West Maui experience.

The Quiet Beauty of Hawaii

Honokowai is a small town on the west coast of the island of Maui, which is quieter and less populated than the 'big island' of Oahu. Honokowai hosts a state park beach, and is only a few minutes from world famous golf courses in Kanaapali. Many vacationers in Honokowai find that if they just go outside their condo and down to the beach, they can lose half of the day just experiencing the sun and the waves, and watching local wildlife, like the sea turtles that come to the coves to feed.

Finding Your Way to Maui

Getting to Maui is easy; there are daily flights from Honolulu; Maui also has its own airport, though flights from the mainland United States are more expensive. Maui is most famous for its surfing, but the island is also home to massive national and state parks that protect the island's rainforests and coral reefs. The pristine environment is cherished by locals and travelers alike. On Maui, you can climb mountains and go snorkeling in the same day - if you have the energy, that is. But if you do, you can use Vacation Rentals by Owner to crash in your West Maui lodging.
