  • Great condo in Maui

"Great condo! You won’t find a condo that provides as many amenities as Maui Sands. Our stay was eight nights in June with three TEENAGE grandkids. They had the time of their life - - even if it was with the grandparents! We were all impressed with the many, great accommodations and unbelievable view. The location is mid-way between the Kaanapali Resort area and Kaapalua. The kids especially enjoyed walking the town of Lahaina, seeing the beautiful, large, banyan tree, enjoying the different shops and wanting to try out all the different restaurants. The kids enjoyed great snorkeling right out the back of the condo, literally, right outside the condo’s back door. You walk down a few steps and are in the ocean water. They enjoyed the beach so much they didn’t have a chance to use the pool. The trade winds were so enjoyable. No need to use an air conditioner. The sofa bed in the living room provided the lull of the ocean for a good night’s sleep. The kitchen was well supplied to accommodate cooking/eating in vs. always having to dine out. The three cookbooks were hilarious to read (yes, for those who like to read cook books – you will know what I mean when you see these). The stainless steel sink is big enough to do laundry, however, the condo provides a laundry area equipped with great commercial washers and dryers close by. The condo also provides eco-friendly soaps, shampoos, sheets, etc., as well as the most fought over amenity, the full body massage chair (kids liked even better than Netflix)! They did, however, enjoy the big screen, high definition TV and with 3D glasses. Who can’t watch Avatar over and over again in 3-D? Ryan was more than accommodating to ensure our visit was the most enjoyable ever. He was also great with providing recommendations for a number of places to visit and restaurant suggestions. We definitely will return for a visit (without the grandkids)!"

  • A&W (Denver, CO)

"Spent 12 days in early December and took elderly mother who requires a WC on a "trip of a lifetime". Chose this condo as it states it is WC accessible. WC accessibility is through the Lanai entrance only. Was not convenient or easy to get her in and out of the condo; some grassy and uneven areas to maneuver. Front door access is 2 steps down and 1 step up and is not WC accessible. The sea turtles were an amazing part of this place. They are giant and right outside condo eating breakfast. Never get tired of watching them. The farmers market is convenient and has good selection of local fare; some organically grown. The condo is one of four condo's that share a grassy area, walkway, sea wall and railing. By day 5 we were out of all paper products (tp, pt, Kleenex, dish washing soap) for condo and had to replace 2 burned out light bulbs and batteries for TV remote control. Be prepared to restock for extended stays. Rental fee may not include some basics; like toilet paper. Overly conservative policy as you are provided with "starter" quantities which go quickly if you plan to do any cooking in the condo. The day we departed it was 10:30 AM and the next guests walked right into the condo ready to start their time in the condo. Quite a surprise as we were hurried to get out. Difficult with all the luggage, wheelchair and elderly mother who moves slowly. We thought checkout was 11:00 and there would be time for a thorough cleaning upon our departure. We all thought the condo needed to under go a top to bottom cleaning."

"The pictures and description of this condo are right on! I travel to Maui frequently, 3 times a year at least and prefer to stay at condos. The one I normally stay at was booked, so I decided to stay here, as I had stayed at the complex once before and really enjoyed it. This condo by far, is the best stocked condo that I have stayed at. I am a believer of, if there is something that you really must have, bring it or buy it there, you can not be sure that the place you have booked will have it. Well, this place had so many extras in the entire condo, I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoy the smaller, lower profile place, with a terrific, close view of the islands of Lanai and Molokai. It would be wonderful to stay here during whale season. I hope to stay here again. Booking was a breeze and communication was great. I highly recommend this condo."

  • Everything as advertised!

"This one is a no-brainer! The view is absolutely spectacular, exactly as advertised. There is no overhang on the lanai to obstruct the stars or the sun. Meals on the lanai overlooking the ocean and turtle reef was one of our favourite experiences. The condo itself is like a home away from home and the owner maintains the condo beautifully. This is our second time here...and not our last!"
