  • Great home, great location

"Our family of 5 adults and 3 children (ages 7, 6 and 2) spent a week here and loved every minute. The pool was perfect for the kids who weren't seaworthy. Location couldn't be better -- easy walk to Kaanapali beaches, restaurants and shopping and other beaches with terrific snorkeling were short drives away. Got to swim with the turtles. Home includes beach towels, toys and chairs, so we were fully outfitted for a day at the beach. With respect to the review that mentioned little critters -- during our week, I saw one tiny little guy and he was in the yard, so definitely not a detraction or a reason not to stay here. Would have moved in permanently if Angelia would have let me :). Hope we will be able to make a return trip some day. Also, this house has very nice central air conditioning -- not all vacation rentals on the islands have central air -- which made for a very nice, climate-controlled environment. Wonderful home."

  • Mr. and Mrs.

"Pictures do not do this place justice. We were delighted to find it even more exceptional than expected! The perfect honeymoon location and we cannot wait to return to this piece of paradise. If you are hesitant like we were about such an investment based on virtual information, don't be! Bonnie was awesome to deal with and delivered everything as expected! Highly recommended! Absolutely beautiful views, extremely clean and perfectly decorated living space and an amazing rooftop deck make this condo heaven! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this piece of paradise!"

  • Spectacular Christmas Vacation

"Patty and Rick's condo was the perfect location for our first trip to Maui. The view from the lanai is amazing. We were able to drink our morning coffee while listening to the ocean and watching whales surface. The unit was stocked with all the beach gear we needed. We had a wonderful Christmas on Maui and the comforts of their unit at Honua Kai made the trip. We will definitely be making a return trip in the future."

"Like almost every reviewer has mentioned, the view from this unit is beyond compare and it makes this a very special place to soak up the beauty that is Maui. Every morning and every evening we would sit on the lanai and drink coffee, eat breakfast, read, or have a glass of wine while watching the whales do their tricks just yards away. Off in the distance is the beautiful island of Molokai, and the sunsets are lovely and peaceful to enjoy each evening. The unit itself is very nice. Anything that you can imagine you might need for a vacation stay is already there for you to use. Boogie boards, beach towels, 2 coffee makers, beach umbrellas and chairs and more. You name it, they've got it! The unit is comfortably furnished and appointed but not overdone. We felt at home the moment we walked in the door. A very nice feature of the unit for our group was the privacy afforded by the loft bedroom and bathroom. If you have a teenager or tween in your family as we did, this could be a great bedroom for him or her. It has its own TV and DVD player and it offers enough separation from the downstairs activity to allow for space apart when it is needed. Our favorite activities when we could pull ourselves away from the view, were the Old Lahaina Luau and the Pacific Whale Foundation snorkel cruise to Molokini and Lanai. The luau was first rate from the moment you are greeted at the entrance with a fresh lei and MaiTai, to the food and amazing dance performances. If you are visiting in high season, you will need to book a few months in advance as it sells out quickly. The concierge at Papakea was very helpful in making suggestions based on our interests, and she booked the snorkel cruise for us. It is the only snorkel that goes to both Molokini and Lanai in one trip. The coral and fish are plentiful and beautiful and it is suitable even for those who might not be strong swimmers. The best part of the cruise was the ride home when we were surrounded by several whales in pairs jumping out of the water all around us and staying with the boat for about 30 minutes providing a spectacular and unforgettable show. My only regret is that we could only stay one week!"
