"We stayed at K234 in April 2015. This was our 8th time in Maui. We have previously stayed at Ka'anapali Beach Resort twice, Sheraton, Marriott and Hyatt on South Ka'anapali and twice at 2 bedroom condos at Ka'anapali Alii. We definitely prefer the condos.
KBM Hawaii management were excellent! They looked after everything exactly as requested. We were able to check into the condo early. Check in and check out was simple. The condo was very clean, spacious, tastefully decorated with large sliding glass doors opening onto an overly large lanai. We were a family of 4 adults. The condo was well equipped for all vacation needs including young families as it had play pens and toys as well as some plastic dishes for little ones. There is also a grocery store across the street from the condo which is convenient.
The resort was spotless throughout and staff were actively cleaning things all the time. It also had an underground parking garage which was secure as it required your room key to access the garage and then again to access the elevator up into the building.
The resort is quite large and located on North Ka'anapali Beach. It has several pools, a slide, hot tub, and plenty of places to sit around with or without umbrellas. Duke's restaurant is on site and the food there was good. The beach is a bit rocky but had good snorkeling with a variety of fish.
My only negative comments are the ocean view from the condo is what I would call minimal as you are quite far from the ocean and (you really only see it from the lanai) the large resort next door gets the sunset not you. Also the beach out front is good but not on par with South Ka'anapali. It is not as wide a beach and slanted so walking on it is awkward.
The following aren't criticisms, just personal observations. We found the color of the pool liner off putting. It is charcoal. I think it is suppose to be lava to go with other rocks around it but it was not as inviting as the turquoise water you see in other pools. We thought it made the pools look dirty.
We found it extremely windy. Furniture blows around on the lanai.
We personally missed the close walking proximity to Whalers Village that we experienced staying on South Ka'anapali but then, this vacation was cheaper than staying at Ka'anapali Alii!
We did go and swim at Black Rock and ate at Whalers Village several times. You can get a 3 hour parking pass from the restaurants and Whalers museum to offset parking costs."

"The condo and the view were spectacular! I would stay there again and recommend it to my family and friends. The room was decorated with all current finishes & furnishings and had all of the amenities you would need. The pool area was wonderful and gave a variety of pools for everyone. We had a group of people staying there and everyone loved it."

"I chose this unit for the west facing views and was not disappointed. The balcony is second in from the ocean side and has a dead on view of the sunsets every night. It also overlooks the quiet adult pool, to the left. Nice and shaded in the mornings for coffee good for afternoon sun
The condo itself was very nice, love the folding doors and long balcony. Bedrooms and bathrooms were great as was the kitchen. The unit was very well stocked with non food items such as laundry soap, garbage bags, coffee filters and so on. Wish someone would add spices and basics like salt and pepper. The other 3 bedroom unit that the rest of our group rented (329) had lots of these items. The resort has a lot of kids running around so if you are adults looking for quiet this may not be the resort for you. The quiet pool is good but it is not overly large. We chose this resort to accommodate my elderly father. The building and quiet pool are very good for seniors, good steps with railings, no pool in any part of the complex is deeper than 4 feet. Beach is a little steep going down to the ocean, but walkways to and along the beach are great. Dukes restaurant needs to expand it's menu selections especially for dinner. It is ok for lunch and ok if you have kids, but it is certainly not for foodies. Air conditioning is very good and controlled separately in each of the bedrooms. The ceiling fans in each room including the living room is a very welcome addition.
Elevators can be a bit of a pain, not enough in my opinion for the number of people in the building.
Overall we were happy with this unit."

"The rental was first class from the moment we made our initial inquiry through our departure date. As we finalized our reservation, the agency was in contact with us to be sure that they met our needs. As the date of our stay approached, they provided guidance from the airport and to set up our arrival. Despite arriving quite late in the evening, their staff sent us text messages, phoned us and welcomed us personally. The unit itself has ample space including a large patio-area, it is very well appointed with a good sleeping arrangements and bathroom access. Four persons can stay in the unit quite comfortably and the place is well set up with a very good dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, coffee maker, microwave and cable TV sets in the living room and both bedrooms. The unit also comes with a small combination of food basics—cooking oil, spices, tea and coffee, The unit comes with a full set of dishes, cutlery, cooking ware, bedding , towels etc. as well as some snorkels, boogie boards and other resources for the beach. While the unit does not have a water view but it is very well located with beautiful vistas looking toward the mountain and well positioned for the early morning sun. Our stay was immensely comfortable and we felt we were able to make it our space from which we could head to the beach or pool in front of the hotel. You do not need a car here unless you wanted to head to some of the nearby surfing beaches or golf courses."
