  • Wonderful West Maui Condo!

"My husband and I took our 2 daughters, ages 6 & 7, my mom & grandma to stay at this condo in mid April 2014. We had a fabulous time and are really missing sitting out on the lanai listening to the ocean! The grounds are immaculate and the ocean is steps away. The condo was the right size for the 6 of us and is well taken care of. The dishwasher had issues when we arrived so I called Bethany and she promptly sent over her repairman. He was extremely friendly, by the way, and gave us lots of great tips on what to do during our stay. There is an ABC store within walking distance that's a great place to buy groceries and other odds & ends. Recommend stocking up at Costco near the airport when you arrive - we saved a ton of $$ on food by eating at the condo for breakfast and many lunches. There are several nice grills down by the pool area. All of the other guests were friendly, as well as the staff. There is an Expedia concierge in the lobby who was a great help in booking activities - good prices, too! You should go to their welcome presentation the 1st morning - they don't pressure you AT ALL - just give lots of great info on different activities and the continental breakfast was nice. My kids loved the pool! The beach on the property is not swimmable, but if you walk toward Kaanapali Shores next door, you'll find a swimmable area. But be careful of the rocks and coral here - be sure to wear water shoes. We found better swimming areas (and sea turtles!) by walking further up the shore. The ONLY downside of this condo was that there is no a/c. It really wasn't bad with the breeze coming in, but if it was much hotter it could get uncomfortable. Mahalo, Bethany, for sharing your wonderful place!!! We hope to visit again someday! Aloha!"

  • the perfect place

"Our stay at the papakea was amazing. this was our first time back in ten years. We brought our two kids with us as well. the papakea had everything we needed. The papapkea had a pool along with beachside access. Very short walking distance to the grocery store and shopping. Our unit was stocked with everything we needed to cook along with a washer/dryer and plenty of towels. We will definitely be staying at the papakea for our next hawaiian vacation."

  • One bedroom ocean view

"Nice condo with great ocean view. Plenty of dishes, pots & pans for cooking. Enjoyed swimming in both pools, relaxing on the lanai & snorkeling at nearby beaches. Some noise during the week days with renovations of building across the courtyard, but nice & quiet after 5 PM. Nicely priced unit, would definitely consider renting this unit again in the future."

  • Great condo in a beautiful resort

"Seven of us stayed here for a week in January and it was absolutely perfect. Whatever construction that was previously going on has clearly finished up. The condo has decent upgrades throughout, furniture is comfortable and in great condition, and the view off the lanai is breathtaking. The kitchen was well stocked with nice appliances and everything needed to cook at home. There were also five beach chairs, two umbrellas, and sand toys for a day trip to the beach. There was even a pack n play for our little one. The grounds are beautifully maintained with mature trees and plants that you just won't find at a newer resort. Only one pool is heated, which happened to be the one further away, but both spas work just fine. Shuffleboard was a nice bonus too. The BBQ's in the pool area were quite popular and great to have on those warm evenings. The staff did a great job keeping them clean too. The only issue we ran into wasn't related to the condo at all, but the complex and that was a broken elevator for 2.5 days. We had to use one down the way which was fine for six of us, but the seventh was handicap making for limited trips up and down. We would without a doubt definitely stay here again if we came as a large group."
