Can't wait to go back!
"My family of four just returned from our stay in Maui at Papakea K-206, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. While I could go in to great detail about all of the fantastic moments we had in Maui, I will refrain as this review is about the condo.
I am by nature a “glass is half empty” kind of guy and I was skeptical about renting a condo for our vacation. But from day one when I contacted Leslie and Eric, they were quick to respond and were able to answer all of my questions and help put me at ease. Once we arrived, the condo was just as described and seen in the photographs here on VRBO. The view is fantastic, the grounds are immaculate, and we didn’t have a single issue. The items that were described to be there for our use were in fact there….. such as three boogie boards, soft sided coolers, two snorkel sets, two beach chairs, putters and golf balls, along with some other items. This saved us from having to rent such items.
The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and we slept well considering the time change adjustment. The sofa sleeper must have been comfortable as both of my kids slept well every night. The shower was great, not like a bad hotel shower. Stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, coffee pot all were in great working order and we were glad to have them. Additionally, the barbecues around the pool were a blessing as we used them multiple times to cook our own meals and enjoy dining on the condo lanai. The grills were cleaned daily and I was not concerned with using them at all.
The condo is in easy walking distance to several great food places in which you could get take out and enjoy your dinner on the condo lanai that overlooks the beautiful grounds and the ocean view. Also a grocery store is within walking distance which made making our own meals in the condo even easier.
If I am able to afford a return trip to Maui in the near future, I would not hesitate to go with Leslie and Eric again. Great condo. Thanks for letting us use it!!!"

"What a beautiful condo!! As soon as you walk into this unit, you are pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the upgraded amenities inside. We have stayed in many oceanfront units at the Papakea and this was by far the nicest one. My husband and I and our close friends stayed here together and really enjoyed it. It is a perfect place for two couples or a family with kids. It is spacious and having two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a dividing wall, gives you the privacy you need. The oceanfront lanais (2) are phenomenal, our favorite part of each day was watching the sunset right outside from the condo. I personally enjoyed opening up the shutters each morning to a gorgeous view of the ocean, it made every morning feel like paradise. It was relaxing and beautiful vacation. We hope to stay here again in the future. It was a fantastic getaway."

"I've been to Maui a handful of times. My husband and rented this property for a week, and it was amazing! I will, and already have, recommended this place to a number of people. Here's the break down:
~ Price was comparable to other places
~ tempurpedic type king size bed (we both slept so well every night!)
~ Ocean front; this isn't just beach view, it is walk-out-and-you're-there ocean front
~ Listen to the waves crashing all day and all night
~ A/C (if you need it, we used fans the entire time we were there and never turned the AC on)
~ Tastefully renovated
~ Wonderful owners that are simply nice people to work with
Cons: (this is limited and subjective, as it did not bother us)
~ The bedroom is in back of the unit, and there is an elevator near by; if you're a light sleeper, this may bother you. It really didn't bother us in any way
~ 1st floor - so you do want to lock up at night (but they have shutters on the sides, so you can let in the breeze and listen to the waves all night long).. Being on the first floor is both a blessing and a curse; you're a little more exposed, but you have the luxury of walking out onto the patio and being at the ocean.
This place had snorkeling gear, beach towels, books, internet, TV (never even turned it on!), AC, boogie boards, fishing gear.. etc... This place is ready for you to come in and enjoy everything the island has to offer. It's also walking distance to a grocery store so you can stock up for your stay. We strongly recommend this location; it's wonderful.
OH, and the resort has an Expedia concierge, so you can book a bunch of excursions if you want. If you want to go to the Old Lahaina Luau... which really is th best in my opinion, strongly recommend you book that prior to getting there, it was booked up for 4 weeks when we got there."
