"This is a first class vacation place that has everything a family would need. The rooms were great, the staff was very attentive and the grounds were spectacular! All you need to do is show up and the rest of your trip will amaze you. The snorkeling was fantastic and we saw many turtles right in front of the resort. You could not ask for a better place to spend time with your family than this resort. There is a shuttle that takes you from the resort to Lahaina, Whalers Village or the local grocery stores. No need to drive or park you vehicle with this transportation."

"My husband and I stayed for a week in the Westin Ocean Villas and loved every minute of it. The hotel staff was wonderful from check-in to valet to pool service. We had a studio unit on one of the upper floors facing the ocean. Amazing views! The kitchen has all necessary appliances (microwave w/cooking feature, full refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher). We grilled at the outdoor grills for dinner 2 nights. We grabbed groceries at the Costco by the Kahului airport on our way to the resort and ate breakfast every morning on the balcony. We packed picnic lunches most days & hiked all along the west/northwest coastline from Kapalua on up. We also picked up fresh sushi and some other items at the Times grocery store just north of the villas (approx 3 mi).
The property was very well-kept, the pools were perfect, and we also enjoyed the hot tubs in the evening. Being there in January, the ocean water was a bit too chilly for me but my husband did snorkel 1 day.
You can walk or take the free shuttle to Whalers Village if you are wanting to shop, check out other restaurants/bars or coffee shops. We walked the boardwalk every morning all the way down to the end where there is a public beach. The boardwalk is great ... it extends roughly 3 miles south of the Westin Villas and 1/2-1 mi north. We enjoyed walking north to Dukes Restaurant. There is a fantastic little coffee shop (Island Vintage Coffee) that serves coffees, teas, smoothies, breakfast & lunch at Whalers Village.
You can also take the free shuttle down to Front Street which is where the harbor is, tons of shopping & restaurants. We actually enjoyed Whalers Village the most for shopping. We ate at Kimo's on Front Street, very good.
The beach is very nice. You can walk the beach up to Black Rock (Sheraton), then walk the boardwalk around the Sheraton & go back to walking on the beach. Some areas south of the Sheraton do not have much beach. You can also walk the beach north quite a ways.
Thank you for renting us your fabulous home away from home. This was a beautiful property and we will definitely be going back!"

"Our first time going to Maui and can't wait to go back. I rented the 1 bedroom for myself and the studio lockout (that connected to my room) for my daughter and son in-law. When we arrived at the resort, the valet unloaded our vehicle and brought everything to our rooms. So respectful and engaging they were! Check-in was quick! and how shocked they were on my amazing rates! (Thanks Becky!) The resort grounds are breathtaking!
The room was wonderfully furnished...pots and pans and more! It didn't have a rice cooker or crock pot (which I would have liked). We stopped at Costco after arriving, but I found that I really didn't want to cook much...it's vacation, right? The restaurants were yummy! Especially enjoyed the all you can eat crab night.
Jetted tub, gigantic shower (and I mean GIGANTIC) and extremely comfortable bed. Private patio to sit and read or eat a meal.
The ocean was steps out the door, plenty of towels and wait staff to bring us all the drinks and food we wanted.
This vacation was a 'once in a lifetime'...I'm hoping to do it again next year!"
