"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Westin Ka'anapali! We were in building 5 and lucky enough to be on the 5th floor (out of 6 floors) with a view into the north pool area and a bit of the ocean. We loved being on the south side of the building so we had morning sunshine in the room and then it was cooler later in the day.
While we tried out all of the pool areas (including the pirate ship, which our 4 year old loved), we decided we loved the north area... it felt quieter and more like a resort whereas the south pool area was certainly the happening place to be. There was also a SNUBA demonstration each morning in the north pool and we all tried it and decided to go out into the open water and see the fish and coral reefs. What an experience!
The staff was very attentive to any special requests, like a roll away bed for the little guy, which had a complete mattress and heavenly bedding set - most comfy rollaway I've ever seen!
All in all, we were delighted with the villa, the pools, the staff, the spa and the total experience. Moreover, interacting with Margi to obtain the reservation was pleasant and super easy. I will highly recommend the Westin Ka'anapali to anyone who asks about our trip!"

"My husband and I stayed for a week in the Westin Ocean Villas and loved every minute of it. The hotel staff was wonderful from check-in to valet to pool service. We had a studio unit on one of the upper floors facing the ocean. Amazing views! The kitchen has all necessary appliances (microwave w/cooking feature, full refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher). We grilled at the outdoor grills for dinner 2 nights. We grabbed groceries at the Costco by the Kahului airport on our way to the resort and ate breakfast every morning on the balcony. We packed picnic lunches most days & hiked all along the west/northwest coastline from Kapalua on up. We also picked up fresh sushi and some other items at the Times grocery store just north of the villas (approx 3 mi).
The property was very well-kept, the pools were perfect, and we also enjoyed the hot tubs in the evening. Being there in January, the ocean water was a bit too chilly for me but my husband did snorkel 1 day.
You can walk or take the free shuttle to Whalers Village if you are wanting to shop, check out other restaurants/bars or coffee shops. We walked the boardwalk every morning all the way down to the end where there is a public beach. The boardwalk is great ... it extends roughly 3 miles south of the Westin Villas and 1/2-1 mi north. We enjoyed walking north to Dukes Restaurant. There is a fantastic little coffee shop (Island Vintage Coffee) that serves coffees, teas, smoothies, breakfast & lunch at Whalers Village.
You can also take the free shuttle down to Front Street which is where the harbor is, tons of shopping & restaurants. We actually enjoyed Whalers Village the most for shopping. We ate at Kimo's on Front Street, very good.
The beach is very nice. You can walk the beach up to Black Rock (Sheraton), then walk the boardwalk around the Sheraton & go back to walking on the beach. Some areas south of the Sheraton do not have much beach. You can also walk the beach north quite a ways.
Thank you for renting us your fabulous home away from home. This was a beautiful property and we will definitely be going back!"

"We had a wonderful vacation here with our family. We used the fabulous kitchen area for wonderful meals in a family setting. The kitchen is big enough and well equipped enough to enjoy conversation, preparing food, and help in tending drinks. There are lots of different places for little chit chats, group sharing and one and one catch ups. I fell asleep one night on one of the lounge chairs in the courtyard and under the stars. I woke up the next morning to the chirping of pretty birds and the wonderful Maui warmth. We also had enough room to entertain our friends as well. If you like space, as in a true Villa, you will like this spot. We have booked a return.
The pool, hot tub and ocean are close by, as is the restaurant and bar. We especially enjoyed the perfect beach sand, the perfect sand in the water, the small waves for bobbing around, boogy boarding, paddle boarding, and the snorkeling. Plenty of fish to see at the park nearby.
The bus comes by regularly to go to the shops an Kaanapali and other stops. Black Rock is a pleasant walk up the beach, which we enjoyed more than once. Be sure to experience the tales told at the community bbq while your steak is on the grill :)"

Westin Kannapali Ocean Resort a great destination.
"The property is well maintained and the staff is very helpful if you need anything. Maui Resort Realty was easy and informative to work with. The condo they secured for us had everything we needed along with a great ocean view. After exploring the island we used the oceanfront grills to make our dinner and enjoyed the sunset. The snorkeling in front of the resort was some of the best we did on the island. Thanks for a wonderful Maui stay!"
